Disappointing Experience at Prata Wala (Jurong Point)
I used to love Prata Wala, but sadly, the standard at the Jurong Point outlet has dropped. I recently bought 8 pieces of chapati, and they were all thick, undercooked, and extremely hard. It was a huge disappointment, especially considering how good they used to be.
This outlet was once one of the best, but now, unfortunately, it’s not the same. I really hope they improve their quality because this was not worth the price. Sorry, guys, but I won’t be coming back unless things change.

The meal was disappointing as lots of dried coconut was mixed in with the cabbage. The coconut was not fresh and had an off-putting smell. The rice quality could have been better. The papadum was soggy instead of crispy, and the oil had turned rancid. A bird came in and pecked at the food at the tray return area in the far corner. The food was not bad in the past, but the quality has decreased a lot over the years.

Visited 3 times in 2 months and got orders wrong on 2 out of 3 occasions. The first time, an egg prata was missed and a normal prata was given instead. The second time (just recently on 02-Oct-21), I ordered 3 cheese, 3 onion, 3 plain, and 1 egg, but only received 2 plain instead of 3. The place was not crowded at all, which makes this inexcusable. Another really annoying thing is your order-taking staff. I stood in the queue waiting. The staff looked up and said "Yes?". I started reading out the order slowly, and he looked up again and said "Hold on". If he wasn't ready, why say "Yes"? He should have said, "Just hold on for a minute, I will be with you soon." I didn't say I couldn't wait. This happened on 3 out of 3 occasions. Seriously, if you want to survive and grow, you better improve fast.

However, on December 27, 2024, I received a rude shock and was disappointed with the quality of your food during breakfast, as well as your service.
Your prata has definitely shrunk in size.
When I brought this matter up to your Manager, Mr. Naveed, he denied that the prata had shrunk in size. He took my prata to show to your Chef, Mr. Shekar (if I spelled correctly), and the chef didn't even do anything.
While Mr. Naveed denied the size had shrunk, another of your staff (a delivery guy wearing a red tee) agreed with him and smirked at me at the counter, seemingly implying I was lying.
The way your staff approached and handled the customers was appalling. Your delivery guy was not in a position to do what he did, in front of all other customers. His job is just to deliver and stay out of the customer service line by not smirking while I was talking.
Mr. Naveed offered to refund me for the prata. I had already paid for my food, so I refused a refund and also rejected his offer to make me new prata. He repeatedly told me there was no change in the size.
It was more appalling when he compared my prata to the one the chef had just made. The new one was more fluffy and nicely done, whilst I was served cold and hard prata which looked like it had been on the shelf for an hour or so.
Mr. Naveed then came over to my table to show me the newly made prata by the chef and compared it to mine, saying the dough was the same, which upset me further. It was nothing like the one I bought.
You can see my prata was small, and the pratas in the Google reviews were almost to the edge of the metal plate.
Please look into this matter. I had emailed Prata Wala but no one replied to me, and I had to resort to Google reviews for my complaint.
