The kueh is a bit dry. The nasi lemak is not bad; I love the lemongrass in the sambal, and the condiments are fresh. The Nonya laksa is good!

I have to say this first: I married a Peranakan, and they are really fussy with their traditional foods. That said, it also means I've been exposed to legitimate home-cooked Peranakan food and have also been taken to legitimate Peranakan restaurants for meals.
Rempah was a mixed experience.
Their flagship, Chilli Padi, is amazing. Legit, authentic Peranakan food that even the pickiest nonya would appreciate.
Rempah, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown.
The problem could be me not managing my expectations.
I came with my wife and decided to taste as much food as possible. Here is a summary:
Mee Siam (*to be fair, Peranakans are not very known for Mee Siam; it was just something I wanted to have*) - it was decent, not amazing or fantastic. I've definitely had better.
Ayam Buah Keluak - the Ayam was nice, with good seasoning and good earthy flavours. The chap chye, on the other hand, was bland.
Kueh Pai Ti - a cute novelty that kids might love, as you have to fill in the kueh yourselves. Taste-wise, so-so.
Kueh Kuehs - Kueh Dardar had dry skin and was too thick. Kueh Salat had not enough kaya and too much rice. Ubi was bland.
However, their kopi was nice.

The food was decent, and the service from the counter staff was great. Overall, the food was good, though a little salty for my taste. It could have been warmer as it turned cold quite fast in the air-conditioned environment. The beef rendang was unfortunately inedible as it was very tough. I provided feedback to the staff, and they immediately informed management about the matter.

Chicken Cutlet Nasi Lemak:
• The chicken cutlet was great; the meat was not dry and had a crispy marinade, though it was a little on the salty side. The flavour was good, however.
• The Nasi Lemak was quite flavourful but a bit dry for my preference.
• The Achar was great!
Ayam Bakar Nasi Lemak:
• The marinade of the chicken was a tad bit salty too, but the chicken meat was juicy and not dry.
Dry Laksa:
• It was also a bit on the saltier side, but quite tasty and spicy.
Laksa (soup):
• Flavourful and yummy, with lots of fish cakes inside, two prawns, and half an egg.
Both the kitchen and counter staff were very friendly and approachable.

The mee siam leaned a bit too sweet for my liking, and while the gravy was thick enough, it lacked depth in flavor. The ayam buah keluak was decent, but the chicken could have been marinated longer to eliminate the frozen taste. The chap chye could use more seasoning. The kueh pie tee shell was nicely fried, with a perfect size for a single bite. However, the filling lacked flavor, and the chili wasn’t spicy; it tasted more sweet instead. As for the kueh, none of them quite suited my palate.

Better-than-average taste, quality, and value Peranakan food. It's great to see Nyonya food sets accessible to ordinary people without having to go to a restaurant or pay high prices. The ayam buah keluak set was very good, though the dry laksa disappointed, lacking a fragrant herbal taste. The kuih-kuih were average. The sambal chilli with the rice was superb, as was the achar. The afternoon tea set also seems to be great value.
