I reached the stall just a couple of orders before me. They took 20 minutes to prepare the takeaway food. It took me 30 minutes to get served my chicken cutlet. There were no other customers at 5:50 pm. I noticed one chef and two counter staff.

See my palm and then the size of the bun, and you'll know the quantity. The portion is totally not the same as what is shown on the menu. Not worth the price.

The Aglio Olio was fine. The chicken chop tasted burnt. The Chicken Creamy Carbonara was the worst - it tasted like boiled pasta soaked in milk, with tasteless chicken cubes that were difficult to swallow. Portions used to be great, but now they're like a kid's meal. The Hougang stall is better. Outrageous, it spoiled my mood after a long, tiring day of work.

I requested for non-spicy aglio olio, and the cashier acknowledged it. However, when it arrived, it was spicy.

This is the second time I have experienced bad quality food and service at this particular stall. The chicken was still undercooked and pink, and the carbonara was totally tasteless. The front counter staff were rushing for payment. I have been dining at Soldier Chicken for as long as I can remember, and so far the Hougang and Serangoon outlets have maintained their quality of food and service. But Anchorvale Village... you all gotta buck up, man!

After collecting the food, my kids ate a couple of bites first. I realised I forgot to take chilli sauce, so I went back to the stall. I was just randomly commenting to the staff that the first piece my kids ate was quite dry and that they might not like it. I said it's okay, I'll just eat the dry piece myself and went back to my table. The uncle walked around the hawker centre to look for us. When he found us, he gave us a box of complimentary nuggets and an extra piece of chicken. It was a surprise! He went the extra mile to ensure my kids were happy. My kids said, 'Best nuggets ever!' It was definitely the uncle's kindness that made our lunch and weekend better!

The teriyaki chicken chop is a big portion and very nice. The mushroom aglio olio is only $3.00. A good place to dine when on a budget.

Finally got to trying this stall's food. ✨ Chicken Cutlet The breadcrumb is quite fragrant and goes well with the tangy lemon sauce. It's also a sizable portion, especially at this price point after the discount. The bun and fries are pretty standard. Overall, quite nice and I will certainly be back for more. ✨ Fish & Chips (2nd visit) Not sure what fish they use, but it is not dory. Personally, I don't exactly like that fish taste, but my parents will probably love it. The portion is very worth it, similar to the previous visit. I cannot stop thinking of their chicken cutlet!
