Tip Top Singapore operates as a distinctive halal-certified casual eatery specializing in traditional Southeast Asian snack foods and curry-based items, strategically positioned at Changi Airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to serve the unique needs of international travelers seeking authentic local flavors at reasonable prices. Unlike typical airport food establishments that often compromise quality and inflate prices, Tip Top has built its reputation on maintaining consistent quality and fair pricing that reflects Singapore's genuine food culture rather than exploitative airport premiums. Their halal certification ensures that their curry puffs, local noodle dishes, and traditional snacks remain accessible to Singapore's diverse traveling population, while their commitment to authentic preparation methods preserves the genuine taste experiences that international visitors expect when sampling Singapore's renowned street food culture in a convenient airport setting.
The focused menu at Tip Top centers around their signature curry puffs, including beloved curry chicken puffs and rich beef rendang puffs that showcase their mastery of traditional pastry-making techniques and authentic spice blending that reflects Singapore's multicultural culinary heritage. Their offerings extend to popular local dishes like bee hoon noodles available with customizable spice levels, aromatic laksa that represents Singapore's signature fusion cuisine, and convenient items like fish ball skewers, scallop skewers, and satay ikan wraps that provide quick, satisfying meals for travelers with limited time. The restaurant's ability to deliver complete local dining experiences through combination meals—such as their popular $10.20 selection featuring curry chicken puff, beef rendang puffs, fish ball skewer, crumbed scallop skewer, and traditional teh—demonstrates their understanding that airport dining should provide cultural immersion rather than generic fast food, creating memorable introductions to Singapore's food culture for departing and arriving passengers.
Tip Top's success lies in their unique positioning as cultural ambassadors who introduce international travelers to authentic Singapore flavors while serving the practical needs of time-conscious passengers seeking quality meals at fair prices. Their consistent quality standards, reasonable pricing strategy that resists typical airport markup practices, and authentic preparation of traditional recipes have earned them recognition as an exceptional example of airport food done right, where travelers can experience genuine local cuisine rather than commercialized airport versions. The restaurant's role in representing Singapore's food culture to international audiences, combined with their commitment to halal certification and traditional cooking methods, positions them as both convenient dining option and cultural gateway that ensures visitors' final taste of Singapore reflects the authentic flavors and generous value propositions that define the nation's beloved food heritage.

Had the bee hoon with chicken katsu on 10th Sep 2025 for lunch. During dinner time, my stomach felt weird and I lacked appetite. Shortly after, I experienced diarrhoea, vomiting, and stomach churning and clenching. I recall the bee hoon was cold, not warm. Never again.

Yesterday (25/6/2024), I had an unpleasant experience with the pastries from this establishment. I purchased a popiah here and consumed it promptly afterward. A few hours later, I experienced severe diarrhoea and spent several hours vomiting, which resulted in me having to visit a doctor. The doctor informed me that I had food poisoning. This establishment cost me valuable time and money, and I am very unhappy with the experience.

The size of the curry puffs has shrunk extensively, to the size of a large fishball. See photo. When we commented on this, staff replied that head office denied the size had shrunk. So here's my review so head office can see and come out with some explanation to justify the price.

The rice was cold and not cooked! It had no taste at all. When I asked the aunty to reheat the rice, she got upset and said they do not provide this kind of service! Don't buy at this shop! No cucumber was given for the nasi lemak. The chicken katsu was only small pieces cut! Very bad shop! Not worth the price!

Really delicious curry puffs - I tried the chicken curry and beef rendang ones, and both were good. This might be a controversial opinion, but I think these curry puffs are better than Old Chang Kee's! The cheese tofu and fried chicken were also good.

I got their bee hoon, cheese tofu, chicken, spring roll, and sardine curry puff. It's very basic, but their bee hoon is bomb AF! You should give it a try when you're super hungry because the portion is quite big.

Tip Top's sardine and chicken curry puffs are delicious, to say the least. Although I have noticed that the amount of filling has been reduced over time, that is to be expected with increasing costs everywhere. That's okay. At least their sardine puffs are filled with sardines and onions, unlike some others that are filled with more potatoes. Overall, shiok.

Tip Top Curry Puff at Raffles Place had quite good service. I got the PassionCard promo - 2 puffs at $2.70. The staff asked if I wanted the chicken or the sardine puff, and I asked to mix them, which was okay.
Comparatively, the Tip Top Curry Puff at Raffles City Shopping Centre had extremely poor attitude. The staff almost seemed like they were going to explode, despite no one provoking them.
I'll go back to the Raffles Place outlet for the puffs instead! Great job and good taste to the puffs!
