Was there on 24 July 2025 at around 4:30 PM. Ordered 10 sticks of pork at $0.75 each with 2 ketupats and paid $9.70. I was served my order in less than 2 minutes. My first bite of the pork was cold and hard, and the meat had a smell. I tried the ketupat. It was horrible – so cold and hard, and some parts were not cooked. An aunty seated next to me was also eating the same thing. She also commented that the ketupat was not fresh, likely leftover from the previous day. Both of us had the same sentiment. My friend, who absolutely loves ketupat, did finish it. She took one bite and stopped, unable to stomach it. We didn't finish our food and brought the whole tray back to the stallholder to give our honest comments. She initially thought I couldn't finish and wanted to pack it up. I told her I was giving my honest feedback about it. The satay and everything else couldn't make it. Later, I realised that all the satay were pre-cooked beforehand and left in a big tray. That's why I didn't have to wait long, unlike the last time I patronised when many had to wait for more than an hour.

My favorite satay in Singapore. The meat is nicely seasoned. Previously $0.60 each (2023), it's now $0.75 each as of September 2025. Sadly, the meat has also shrunk in size over the years. It's still tasty but a lot more expensive. I will no longer queue for it.

One of the most affordable satay options in Singapore has now raised its price to 75¢ each. Unfortunately, this means we can no longer enjoy budget-friendly satay from this place.

The satay sauce is nice. I've provided feedback many times that the satay meat is too charred, but the stallholder thinks otherwise. I hope they will improve on it. I don't know if I'm consuming soot or food. For now, I'm staying away from the acrylamide formed. I bought from a stall once at West Coast, and their satays were minimally charred or not charred at all.

Regret, very bad. This was my first time buying bak kwa from a hawker for CNY. The bak kwa's colour is so red; I wonder what kind of colouring they used to marinate the meats. All the bak kwa pieces stick together and are hard to peel off. The taste is bad too I bought quite a few packs as gifts for relatives and friends. I only got to know the quality after I came home. Absolutely sia suay, I don't dare to ask them if it's nice or not. Very bad, and not cheap either. They charged $30 per 500 grams, which is on par with branded names. But it tastes like

One of the best satay in the west vicinity, perhaps even in Singapore. And the price you pay is simply awesome! I always order the chicken satay, and the meat is consistently tender. The satay is rich, and you can really taste the peanut. Some might find it slightly spicy, but it's just right for me.

My usual go-to when I crave satay. It almost always attracts a queue and is one of the most popular stalls in the market, but it's worth the wait. It offers chicken and pork satays that come with a tasty, thick peanut sauce. Note that similar to other satay stalls here in Singapore, 10 sticks are the minimum purchase quantity. The price is quite fair for its quality – $0.60 for both types of satay. Almost forgot, the "rice" item on the menu isn't white rice but rice cakes (ketupat) served as the staple to accompany the satay.

The satay is not bad. Freshly grilled and affordable too. At 60 cents per stick, it naturally has lesser meat compared to other vendors which cost more. That's why I ordered 7 sticks each of pork and chicken to satisfy my cravings. They are generous with the peanut sauce. The ketupat (rice pudding) would be better if served warm and softer. The queue was short because I was there before 5pm. Overall, I would recommend this stall, especially for those who prefer pork satay. It's one of the better satay stalls.

The Dried Pork (肉干) is great – thinly sliced, savoury, and fresh. Worth a try. Satay is just normal, nothing to wow about. However, it's 60 cents a piece (or 50 cents for raw ones), and they only offer pork. Please note they usually only open in the afternoon and onwards, and are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Their operating hours are quite irregular, so be aware. Expect snaking queues during festive seasons, and customer service tends to decline during these busy periods too. Otherwise, it's worth a try.

Cheap and good satay! Come at odd timings to beat the queue, as it's always snaking. If long queuing is required, then it wouldn't be as worthwhile anymore. Overall, a good fix for satay cravings.
