Major disappointment! Tough, chewy, and tasteless. Unbelievably bad satay. We ordered both chicken and beef, and it was so inedible, we couldn't bear to chew another bite. I can't understand the hype around this stall. On another note, long queues and curt service do not equate with good food. This is one of those!

Wasn't good. The satay sauce was watery even at 1pm. The beef satay lacked flavour, but the texture was good. Chicken satay was the best, with good texture and marinade. However, all satay was sold at $0.80, which made the chicken really expensive in my opinion. Overall, I would not be back because the satay sauce was really bad.

Been a long-time fan of this shop, despite the controversies surrounding their service. However, this experience was the ultimate disappointment, exceeding even those past issues. My father bought over 80 sticks of satay for an occasion. As it was a takeaway, I had at least hoped for the signature 'chao ta' (burnt) smell from the grill. BOY, WAS I SO WRONG. Not only was the meat, both chicken and beef, incredibly tough to chew, but the famous 'chao ta' smell was also missing. I strongly suggest alternative methods were used instead of fanning and burning on a charcoal grill. There were no burnt marks on the satay either. Please do not do this to customers who are taking away. It feels like because we can't see the items on-site, we are being cheated as the food is wrapped and not prepared properly. So sad....

Preordered for a mini gathering and went to collect it. The uncle was very rude and he packed the order without satay sauce! The satay was edible but dry, and if he had given us the sauce, it could have at least complemented the dry satays, but nope, he didn't pack the sauce. So disappointed; it's going to be my first and last time ordering from here.

When it comes to satay, I normally order chicken. However, I found myself eating 6 mutton sticks, and they were super delicious – sweet and juicy. This is not those frozen pre-packed ones; I saw the Pakcik at the back poking the marinated meat onto the sticks one by one.

By far the best satay in Singapore! The gravy is super sedap! The peanuts are chunky. The gravy is thick and has a nice spicy kick.

The satay tastes good. The price of 70 cents per stick is incredible. The cooking environment can be a bit discomforting due to the strong flames. Char on the food is unavoidable.

I've been coming here since I was little and it is the best satay ever! The prices are very reasonable compared to other places like Lau Pa Sat, making it very affordable and all the more worth it. The chicken and beef satay meat is well-seasoned and tastes consistently the same: spicy, sweet, and nutty, with lots of peanut bits. It's a really good combination, and I always look forward to eating the satay here. I always ask for extra peanut sauce.

This is the best satay I've had in years. The mutton was succulent and delicious, and so was the chicken. Do expect to wait about 30 minutes for your satay to arrive, but it is worth the wait.
