Fuss-free eats right at the basement of Sembawang Shopping Centre. Scan in, order and pay at the counter, and the food is brought to you. Ordered 2 dishes and a soup. Loved the petai chicken curry. The curry fish rice was overly salty, so I only ate the fish and rice. The gravy was also salty. The watercress soup was not oily like at some other places and tasted great. Overall, it was good, although a little expensive. However, considering the rising food prices, it's acceptable.

Waited about 30 minutes during dinner hour just to get seated, which I suppose is normal. They have a self-order system like Pastamania where you order and pay at the cashier. After a long wait, it was terrible to be told that 3 out of 4 items I initially wished to order were out of stock. Ironically, most of these items are promoted in set meals. When I asked why they didn't post on the large promo boards outside that these items were out of stock, the cashier casually claimed they had no time to do so and proceeded to add that the items had been out of stock since the afternoon and the supplier also didn't deliver some items. Personally, if you know in advance from lunchtime that some items are out of stock, then at least have the decency to inform customers verbally or paste it on the promo boards about these shortcomings so customers can dine elsewhere.
Taste-wise, it's similar to any hawker centre food, so in terms of price point, it's not value for money. The signature chicken, fried rice, and hor fun were palatable. I would not recommend the Tom Yum seafood. The taste is unlike most Tom Yum soups I've had and was missing a whole bunch of ingredients. It only had loads of lettuce and other vegetables, and a handful of fish slices. Other ingredients were probably out of stock but not highlighted to us.
Overall, a disappointing first experience 😞 despite initially looking forward to it because of a friend's recommendation.

My family and I used to go there once every week because we really enjoyed the food. They changed their whole team a few months back, and everything started going downhill. Prices are more expensive, and dishes have become smaller. The menu is the same, but the taste is not as good anymore. The whole place lacks order. There are more people working there now, but they appear to lack proper training. They leave people standing outside and at the counter while busying themselves with other things. They also leave tables unclean until people are waiting outside for a table, then they start cleaning that one table. They served us our food without cutleries and didn't realize until we asked for them. Their management needs to do something about it.

We called in for reservations. The food came out shortly after ordering. While the seafood isn't the freshest, it's still acceptable considering the prices. Their sambal belacan is superb. Recommended for family dinners.

We visited as a group of three and ordered the Beef Horfun, along with a family set that included rice, Gong Bao chicken, and kangkong. We also added on sambal stingray.
Our first taste was the Beef Horfun (Dry), and we were especially excited because it tasted great! We would definitely recommend it.
Then came the rest of the dishes. They were very underwhelming. They tasted fine, not bad in any way, but after such a delightful initial experience, it was quite the letdown.
Food: 3.5 / 5
Given the price point, it was a value-for-money joint. Nothing more and nothing less.
Just a word of caution on the beverages: If you can get through a meal without drinking, you should do so.
