Mee Goreng (SGD $7) @ Ibrahim Mee Stall.
Established since 1995, this famed stall is now run by its 3rd-generation owner, Syed Ibrahim.
Their rendition features chewy soft yellow noodles, crisp bean sprouts, wispy scrambled egg, soft red onions, crunchy cabbage, and tender diced mutton. It carries a smoky, grainy, sweet, salty, meaty, savoury, and vegetal spice flavour.
Completed with crunchy cucumber with a sweet vegetal flavour, and a nicely fried chicken egg with a runny yolk and an eggy savoury sweet flavour.
