I'm writing to share a disappointing experience at Annabella Patisserie (Clementi). Yesterday, I went for their “1 for $1 macaron” promo after seeing it on social media. The post stated “Today Only!” but didn’t mention any start or end time.
I arrived around 6:20 PM, only to be told the promo had already ended. The staff, including someone who seemed to be the manager, was dismissive and unhelpful, even though others in line had been waiting.
It felt misleading and poorly handled. If a promotion has a cut-off time, it should be clearly stated to avoid confusion and disappointment.

The service and online communication were not the best. Initially, I asked if they could make 10 macarons by Friday. I understood this was a bit of a rush, so I inquired upfront about the possibility. They informed me that custom orders typically require 5 to 7 days for pre-ordering. When I asked if it was impossible, they requested I send my design for them to check. After sending the design, I had to follow up for updates. I also repeatedly mentioned the Friday deadline so they could check. They reviewed the designs and stated they couldn't do black macarons, so I suggested grey ones. For some flower designs, they asked if they could substitute them with designs they had previously done, which I agreed to. They then asked again about the required date. Upon telling them when I needed them, they informed me I could only get in-house items and that custom orders require 7 to 10 days' advance notice. There was a lot of back and forth, and it was very difficult to get a clear answer on whether custom orders could be fulfilled by Friday. Furthermore, their service wasn't very flexible. They initially stated that character designs were possible for a 10-piece set, but when I asked for Tsum Tsum macarons, they said it wasn't possible for the 10-piece set. They mentioned I could only get circular macarons. I then asked if it was impossible to include character designs in the set, but they only reiterated that Tsum Tsum macarons were not possible. I had to ask what characters were possible, as I had seen signage indicating characters were possible for 6-piece macarons. They are not very proactive in providing information; it felt as though they didn't want me to purchase their items. It was difficult to get anything across. If I hadn't wanted to get something special for someone, I wouldn't have been so patient in asking for information and trying to get anything from their business. Honestly, I would not buy from here again after this experience, as it was a headache trying to get answers and they gave a really bad impression. They do sell very cute macarons, but the service really needs improvement.
