Central Thai has been creating quality comfort halal home-style Thai cuisine since 2012, establishing itself as one of Singapore's most trusted destinations for authentic Thai flavors adapted to meet halal dietary requirements without compromising traditional taste profiles. This family-friendly restaurant believes that everyone should be able to enjoy good and affordable Thai food, successfully bridging cultural and religious dining boundaries through their carefully crafted menu that combines Thai and Chinese fusion dishes.
The restaurant specializes in beloved Thai classics including aromatic Tom Yum soup, fragrant Thai Basil Minced Chicken, refreshing Mango Salad, and traditional Mango Sticky Rice that showcase the complex balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors that define authentic Thai cuisine. Their signature offerings extend to glass noodles with prawn, flavorful seafood tom yam, and expertly prepared sea bass that demonstrate their commitment to fresh ingredients and traditional preparation methods adapted for halal certification.
Operating convenient locations including Changi Airport Terminal 3 and Terminal 2, Central Thai serves both local residents and international travelers with their weekday Thai lunch buffet at 9.90++ that features à la carte style service where every dish is made fresh and served hot upon ordering. Their strategic airport presence and commitment to home-styled cooking have made Central Thai a reliable choice for Muslim travelers and locals seeking authentic Thai comfort food that maintains cultural integrity while respecting dietary requirements, proving that traditional Southeast Asian cuisine can successfully adapt to serve Singapore's diverse communities.
This was my 2nd time dining at this restaurant and it's my utmost disappointing experience this time
This was my second time dining at this restaurant, and it was my most disappointing experience this time around. I ordered pineapple fried rice, and the chicken chunks inside had an unpleasant smell, which I had to set aside. Only the cashew nuts tasted nice. The Thai lemon tea had a strong artificial flavour that I couldn't consume. The only dish I managed to finish was the Thai prawn cake. The service staff were not friendly, except for the Filipino cashier. The staff tended to talk very loudly amongst themselves, thus 'killing' the comfortable ambiance of the restaurant. I won't be patronising this restaurant as the quality of food has dropped, and the price is more expensive than other Thai restaurants.

Tried their 90-minute unlimited à la carte Thai buffet and absolutely loved it! Some top picks for us were the Seafood Tom Yum, Steamed Seabass with Spicy Lemon Sauce, and the Crunchy Cereal Prawns, Thai Prawn Cake, and Hotplate Seafood Tofu, all served fresh, hot, and packed with flavour. So worth it! The service was prompt and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back for more!

I recently dined at Central Thai in Changi Airport Terminal 3 and opted for their Thai buffet priced at $49.90++ for adults. The variety and quality of dishes exceeded my expectations.
I started with the fish cake, which was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The pineapple fried rice was flavorful and had a delightful sweetness that complemented the savory dishes. The sambal kangkong was fresh and had the right amount of spice. The hotplate sambal squid was a standout with its rich, spicy sauce and perfectly cooked squid.
My favorite dish was the Thai spicy basil sliced beef. The beef was tender, and the basil added a fragrant touch that elevated the dish. The tomyum seafood soup was aromatic and packed with fresh seafood, delivering a comforting and spicy kick. To cool down, I had the Thai iced milk tea, which was creamy and refreshing.
The restaurant offers halal-certified, home-styled Thai cuisine prepared by native Thai chefs, ensuring authenticity in every bite. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Overall, Central Thai provides a delightful dining experience with a wide array of flavorful dishes. I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Thai food in a comfortable setting.
