The auntie selling wanton mee noodles was quite rude. She took my order incorrectly, even after seeing my receipt. She prepared it wrongly and gave it to someone behind me. To make matters worse, she haphazardly put all the sauce on the side of the plate, which was frustrating. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes for my order without any apology. When I told the uncle I wanted normal dumpling noodles, he asked if I wanted to add more noodles or dumplings, which I declined. However, he still charged me $10.50, suggesting poor communication. The auntie's delay and argument were unprofessional. Another lady gave me extra dumplings. Additionally, the auntie cashier at Toast Box kept waiting to serve other customers before I could give her my cash, which was very rude! Can't she be patient enough to serve me first? They shouldn't be unfair and should treat all customers fairly. Please email my reply, do not call my HP. Thanks.

Located inside Food Republic Vivo City. They had their own seating area, so it was easier to find a table and it was air-conditioned. It tasted milder than the other outlets. The menu had a lot more items. I prefer the other outlets which were spicier and had the aromatic taste I am used to for Nana Curry.

A great food court with a nice setting and atmosphere. I only gave it a 2-star rating because I ordered the Chinese Pomfret Fish Soup for $17, and they didn't charge my card right away. Four hours later, they charged $17.90, which is an extra $0.90 or 5.3%. This hasn't happened to me anywhere else in Singapore. I did enjoy the dish but felt they were dishonest. I would recommend paying cash to avoid this scenario.

OMG, the place is brilliant! So busy with lots of good food to choose from. In my opinion, there's something for everyone. Just be patient when looking for a clear table. You can buy a drink or take your own. Make sure to clear away your tray and belongings. Leave the table clean for the next person. It's next to a transport hub and in a shopping centre. Eat and walk it off by shopping. Loved it! Just one of the many places.

An expensive place to have a meal at VivoCity. It's extremely difficult to get a seat during lunchtime, even on a Monday. The food is pricey, and the quantity is normal compared to the price you pay. I spotted one halal stall. It's a very happening place with people all around eating, queuing, or walking with trays, scanning the stalls to explore what to eat.

This is definitely something anyone should experience. It's a bit touristy, but it does the job if you're looking for a cool place to eat and don't mind the crowds. You can find many different restaurants with various cuisine styles, all with great quality. You'll have to be patient and perhaps 'fight' for tables, but if you have the time and don't mind the crowds, I'd say come and experience it once.

Located inside VivoCity, this Food Republic features a unique design reminiscent of an old-style Chinese village. The food and drinks are all quite good. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, they still feel fair. During peak hours, especially at lunchtime, the place gets very crowded, making it difficult to find an empty seat or table. You'll likely need to wait patiently for one to become available.

Stepping into Food Republic at VivoCity feels like entering a living museum of Singapore’s food cult

Stepping into Food Republic at VivoCity feels like entering a living museum of Singapore’s food culture. The décor is beautifully nostalgic — old-style shopfronts, red lanterns, even a traditional rickshaw tucked in the corner. It instantly transports you to the charm of old Singapore. I had the sizzling pepper rice, and it was both hearty and satisfying — served hot on a cast iron plate with flavorful sauces and a comforting bowl of soup on the side. It’s not just about the food here — it’s about the atmosphere. A great spot to enjoy a meal and soak in a bit of heritage. Highly recommend if you’re in Vivo!
