Food Republic has become way more expensive. Complaints common across Google reviews mention absurd charging at the economic rice stall. The bill for one fish, one meat, and one vegetable came up to $9.50. The taste was abysmal. Both the dry and soup versions of the bak kut teh were also quite pathetic with their portions. The carrot cake was average.

The food court has moved to B3, and while prices have gone up, the taste remains unacceptable. The roast meat stall's char siew was dry and tough. At the Hokkien prawn noodle stall, only the prawn noodles were acceptable. The economical rice stall is a price trap; only a few dishes are truly economical and they are hidden below the expensive options. Choosing other ala carte dishes will easily cost you $10. As for the Famosa stall, forget it. The claypot rice stall offered pathetic portions for the claypot rice and expensive BKT. The fishball noodles had very sticky noodles, heavily loaded with pork lard. The chicken rice was tasteless. The Indonesian food stall is the only one worth patronizing regularly; it's expensive but delicious.

The cai fan stall is an absolute rip-off. $21 for everything in the photo. I don't know since when normal pork chop and sweet and sour pork are considered premium. Even their porridge is like kid-sized. My 9-year-old felt hungry after we finished. Seriously, just turn around and go elsewhere and you won't feel so cheated.
The only good bit is that the place is very Instagram-able. Otherwise, I would not recommend.

Located on level 4, I came for a quick break and ordered an iced milk tea for $2.80 per cup. It was one of the worst I've had – tasteless and super diluted.
Overall, the food court has lots of seats and plenty of food choices.

Nice retro look, but that's not how you increase the price of usual kopitiam food, especially when the taste is mediocre too.
For reference:
Economical rice (2 veg, 1 meat, and fried rice): $9
Roasted Chicken rice (with an egg): $6.80
Ice kopi: $3.10
The drink store uncle didn't even ask if I wanted a big or small size. The price shown on the menu is for a small size, but he assumed we wanted a big size and charged accordingly.
I wanted to get herbal soup, but the uncle said they only had a few available. However, the menu only showed two as unavailable. We were there the whole time, so I don't know why he couldn't just tell us what was actually available.

OMG, the place is brilliant! So busy with lots of good food to choose from. In my opinion, there's something for everyone. Just be patient when looking for a clear table. You can buy a drink or take your own. Make sure to clear away your tray and belongings. Leave the table clean for the next person. It's next to a transport hub and in a shopping centre. Eat and walk it off by shopping. Loved it! Just one of the many places.

Quite impressed by the variety of stores here, as there’s plenty to choose from. The crab noodles were amazing! There were actual chunks of crab and the prawns were very fresh. The BBQ chicken and rojak were both great too! Definitely one of the best food courts I have visited in a while, as the food I’ve tried were all pretty good. Do expect the prices to be steeper, though.

An expensive place to have a meal at VivoCity. It's extremely difficult to get a seat during lunchtime, even on a Monday. The food is pricey, and the quantity is normal compared to the price you pay. I spotted one halal stall. It's a very happening place with people all around eating, queuing, or walking with trays, scanning the stalls to explore what to eat.

It's a little pricey for a food court ($9.80 for a fish slice curry from the Claypot Rice stall), but surprisingly good given the location and taste. The curry is well-seasoned, with a good amount of fish and potatoes. It's also easy to find a seat on a weekend, which is a plus.
