Hmm, I hadn't seen this review before being seated. Sorry, but the cake was lousy. I saw the counter display and it looked good, but what they served me was not fresh. The mango was turning dark, the sponge cake wasn't fluffy, and the cream was not fresh and a bit hard. The matcha latte was a disappointment; it was served boiling hot, which could burn your tongue. I don't understand; if they had fresh pieces, they should have served those instead of clearing out the old ones.

Review: Fruit Paradise – VivoCity
Rating: 2.5/5
Stopped by Fruit Paradise at VivoCity for a quick sweet treat, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to its name. I didn’t try any of the hot food offerings, so this review is solely based on their fruit tart – the supposed star of the show.
The tart was visually pleasing, adorned with neatly arranged fresh fruits. But that’s where the excitement ended. Portion-wise, it was small – more of a dainty nibble than a satisfying dessert. The price, however, suggested otherwise. For what you pay, you’d expect a tart that delivers on both flavour and satisfaction.
Taste-wise, it was decent but unmemorable. The cream lacked depth, the crust was average, and the overall experience felt more style over substance. With so many stellar dessert options around, Fruit Paradise needs more than just aesthetics to stand out.
Verdict: Pretty, pricey, but not particularly persuasive. I left more underwhelmed than delighted.

A dessert place. This dessert chain's signature items are the tarts. Today, I tried the dessert tasting set, of which they only have 10 sets available each day. One shouldn't judge a shop based on just one item, but unfortunately, this one just didn't taste well. The mochi tasted like it was sous vide and sprinkled with peanut powder. The beverage, however, tasted great. The seating area is a decent size, and one of the key reasons for choosing this place is that it's not too noisy on a crazy weekend.

The frozen berry s'mores were delicious, and the combination of s'mores and ice cream was perfect. However, the cake or tart slices were mediocre despite their presentation. For the price, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration and should be $7-$8 instead of $10-$9. The atmosphere was decent, somewhat like Japan. I would recommend trying it, but it wouldn't be my first or go-to option.

Tried the aburi salmon cha nabe and found it to be quite ordinary. The presentation was clean and visually appealing, but the flavours were rather flat and did not leave much of an impression. The portion was also on the smaller side, especially considering the price of this dish. For the amount paid, I was hoping for something more flavourful and enjoyable.
