Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart achieved a significant milestone in Singapore's halal dessert landscape when it became halal-certified in 2018, making authentic Japanese-style cheese tarts accessible to Muslim consumers for the first time. This bakery chain specializes in creating soft, creamy cheese tarts featuring a blend of three different specialty cheeses piped into crunchy shortcrust pastry bases, offering a unique textural contrast that has made it a popular dessert destination. The halal certification process required careful ingredient selection and preparation method modifications to ensure compliance with Islamic dietary laws while maintaining the authentic taste and quality that made the brand internationally successful.
The signature cheese tarts are available in multiple flavors including original, chocolate, and durian varieties, each priced at S$2.90 per piece or S$14.50 for a box of six with attractive bulk purchase deals. The tarts are designed to be enjoyed at different temperatures - best served warm from the oven but equally delicious when chilled or frozen, providing versatility in consumption preferences. The durian variant has particularly resonated with local tastes, offering a creamy and rich durian flavor that appeals to Southeast Asian palates, while the chocolate and original cheese versions cater to more universal preferences.
With strategic locations at Jurong Point, Parkway Parade, Causeway Point, Changi Airport Terminal 3, and Bugis Junction, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has established strong accessibility across Singapore's key shopping and transport hubs. The brand's success in Singapore demonstrates the growing market for premium halal desserts and the importance of halal certification in expanding customer reach. By maintaining authentic Japanese preparation techniques while ensuring halal compliance, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has successfully bridged cultural and religious dietary preferences, contributing to Singapore's reputation as a destination where international culinary concepts can thrive while respecting local community needs.

Changi rewards were not working, and the staff did not provide a receipt for my purchase. The service attitude from the Malay lady when I asked for the receipt was subpar. Terrible. I would return the purchase if the option were available. Maddening. I wouldn't be returning.

Bought 6 tarts yesterday (2 original, 2 durian, 2 salted egg). Woke up with diarrhea and vomiting this morning after consuming 1 durian and 1 salted egg last night. Buy at your own risk. I've never had this issue with their other stores.

I bought 3 cheese tarts at 8-plus pm, and after a few hours, I came back with a severe stomachache and acid reflux. I've never had stomach issues at other stores. And the lady serving today was so rude.

Visited on December 1st around 9:20 PM. Not sure if it was because it was close to closing time, but the Malay lady staff wearing a black face mask was rude. From the moment we tried to make a purchase, she displayed a sour expression—no smiles or basic courtesy throughout the transaction. When we asked for separate packaging, she was obviously annoyed and reluctant to assist, evident in the way she packed and spoke. Even when handing over the tarts, despite us saying thank you, she didn't respond at all. If she can't even meet the bare minimum standard, it's disappointing. If showing basic courtesy is such an effort, perhaps customer service isn't the right role for her.

It's a decent baked cheese tart and soft serve. I couldn't really taste the cheese, only the milk flavour in both the cheese tart and the soft serve.

Located at Changi Airport Terminal 3, Level B2. These are the best baked cheese tarts. The price is definitely above average, around $3 each. I don't know why, but I only wanted to try one, but ended up ordering five because of the 'buy 5 get 1 free' promotion. Original, chocolate, blueberry, and durian flavours are available. Recommended for egg tart lovers.

The baked cheese tarts are excellent, so no need to review them further. I tried the ice cream this time around and it's really quite good! It has a thick cheesy taste and is quite filling as well. I had it in a cup and was able to take about 15-20 minutes to enjoy it. Lovely.
