I recently had the displeasure of dining at JING, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. For over $90 for two people, you’d expect something decent, but instead, the experience was subpar at best. The meat was practically inedible — tough, dry, and lacked any real flavor. At a buffet price like that, the least you can do is serve meat that’s actually chewable, right?
The sauce selection was another letdown. It was incredibly limited, and none of the options stood out. I honestly had to drown my food in whatever sauce I could find just to make it somewhat palatable.
On a positive note, I will admit the soup was surprisingly nice and the frozen fish cakes were fresh, but that’s about the only compliment I can give. It’s unfortunate because the overall quality just didn’t match the price.
Other than that, service was really good. The staff were attentive and came by every 15-30 minutes to check if everything was okay. While that was a nice touch, it didn’t make up for the lackluster food quality.
For the amount you’re paying, it’s hard to overlook how underwhelming the experience was. Safe to say, I won’t be coming back. Definitely not worth it.

One major issue is the size of the tables. They are quite small and cramped, making it difficult to enjoy the meal comfortably without constantly worrying about things falling over. The limited space also meant I had to make multiple trips to get ingredients, which became a bit of a hassle.
I was also disappointed that the dessert options weren’t replenished once they ran out. It would have been great if items like the kueh were available throughout the meal, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Additionally, there were times when I had to clear my own plates and take them to the kitchen myself. The staff only cleared the table as closing time approached, which was inconvenient since I was still eating at that point. This gave the impression that the service could be improved.
On a positive note, I really appreciated how the ingredients were presented – neatly arranged in bowls on ice, keeping them fresh and visually appealing. The drinks selection was also a highlight, with the muscat juice, hot chocolate, and teh tarik all tasting excellent.

Muslim-owned and fully halal, this place is packed with bold, addictive flavours.
The best part? Everyone gets their own personal hotpot, so no fighting over soup choices! Plus, there's a shared grill in the middle for all that sizzling, smoky goodness. Honestly, the setup is a win.
I tried the Chicken Herbal, Tom Yam, and the NEW Laksa soup base. All were flavour bombs, but the Laksa? Next level. Creamy, rich, and full of kick.
The ingredient spread was so fresh and super aesthetic, all neatly laid out on ice. And if you're a meat lover, prepare to go wild. The meat selection is stacked:
Cumin Mutton, Mutton Satay, Lemongrass Chicken, Goji Berry Chicken, Sarawak Black Pepper Beef, Mala Spiced Chicken, New Zealand Beef Brisket, Beef Striploin, and more.
Everything's marinated in-house and grilled to perfection. And honestly? The value for money is unreal.
Also tried their SG60 Special Menu (available 1–30 August 2025):
- Rendang Beef
- Curry Mutton
- Hainan Chicken
- Prawn Salted Egg
All were yummy hits!
Ended the feast with Bubur Cha Cha and Mango Sago — super refreshing and the perfect way to cool down after all that heat.
Starts from just $36.90+ (Mon–Thurs lunch). Fully halal-certified, and hands down one of the best spots for a family or squad food session.

I went there with 3 of my friends and we had a great time. The space is cozy and well-ventilated, as they have placed many coolers around. The food selection is wide. Each person gets a personal mini pot, and I had a shared hot grill. The service staff were really great and nice. The ice cream selection was also alright. The hot food selection is small, but mains like rice and noodles are available. I don't think there were fresh fruits served, but the ingredients for the steamboat and hot grill were good enough. You have 1.5 hours upon entering, so make sure your team of friends enter together before the clock starts ticking.

Had a fantastic time dining here! They've really stepped up their game with a premium selection of meats - lobster, snow crab, and lamb racks are now on the menu. The marinated meats were flavorful. I also thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream (tried choc, wild strawberry, and matcha), which was a perfect sweet ending to the meal.

Had an amazing time at Jing Hotpot ❤️ This was our second time here, and my boyfriend brought me back because I was craving hotpot. He made specific requests, and the staff was kind enough to accommodate them all.
Service was amazing (especially the Chinese gentleman at the counter; we didn’t get his name unfortunately), but we truly appreciate his service and how he patiently explained the process to us once again.
Food’s great, the selection’s great, and the mala soup base level 3 is a must-try for those who love everything spicy. We enjoyed everything and will definitely come back again.

It was our bestie who booked the gathering place, and it was actually my first visit to JING Halal Chinese Hotpot. Seriously, we had a fantastic and awesome dinner. The staff were really friendly, and the restaurant was really spacious and cosy. Firstly, the food was really fresh with many premium selections. I personally chose the herbal chicken soup – wow, it was really tasty, and they were not stingy with the ingredients inside the soup. The only area they need to improve is perhaps the exhaust system. Our clothes and bags, from top to bottom, really ended up with a heavy BBQ smell and a greasy odour. But overall, it was a really awesome experience. I will be bringing my colleagues for the next dinner gathering. Thank you ❤️
