Could be 4 stars if not for the price point. First time trying the chicken rice set because of NDP vouchers ($5.90, usual price $7). Overall, the chicken rice was plump and fragrant. The chicken was tender and of good portion (including the vegetables and cucumber). However, the outlook needs improvement; tables were not cleared and the return tray area was packed full. Other popular dishes ordered by others were the roasted chicken rice and laksa.

Had an early dinner today. Brought the chicken cutlet with lemon sauce. The taste is so-so. The only thing I liked is that it cost only $4.

Terrible service from the Chinese man managing the stall. He had a rude attitude and needs to pay more attention to his tone and mannerisms when serving customers. The food is otherwise quite alright. It makes me think twice about buying again when I see him.

The curry rice was just so-so. It's very different from Hainanese curry chicken. The chicken skin was crispy, but the taste had some herbal notes, which was a bit weird for me. The egg was fried just right. The curry sauce was also so-so, not very flavourful. They provided some pico and chillies, which were quite okay. Service was good.

The variety was limited and the taste was a bit off. However, the environment was nice. It wasn't crowded when we visited on a weekday.

A comforting bowl of chicken laksa ($5.50) for dine-in. The tau pok was soft and well-soaked with the gravy. There were about 3 pieces of round-cut fish cake. I requested boneless chicken breast meat to round up the meal.

Decent portion for its price. The uncle may or may not be cheap, but he did not skate, so he's not a cheapskate. Don't ask for extra chilli if you can't handle it; I certainly couldn't.

Amazed by the food at Thai Empire, a Thai cuisine stall! Do check them out! They are located between the chicken rice and nasi padang stores. Attached the menu here below in the photos. Ordered 2 dishes here, and each came with a bowl of tom yum clear soup. Item number 9: Black pepper glass noodles $7.80. The glass noodles were very well flavored with peanuts and chili flakes to add crunch and more spice if you're a spice lover. 🌶️ Item number 15: Lemongrass chicken $6.80. Fried chicken with a crunch and a lovely lemongrass aroma. Though I did feel thirsty after the meal, I think I would still eat here again! 😋

I ordered chicken rice with a braised egg and was charged $7.40. Upon returning, I discovered there was no egg at all. Is this how they cheat customers? It seems to be a common gimmick among food stores now.

Have visited this food court several times. It’s pretty average, but I do have a favourite stall. It offers Western food where you can choose 4 side dishes that are healthier than the usual ones. The portion is generous in my opinion. Today I had fried chicken and beef. The chicken skin was crispy and a little salty for me, but the beef was tender and sweet; I enjoyed the beef more. Side dishes I selected were quail eggs, broccoli, mushrooms, and tofu. I also had coffee and toast after my meal. Forgot the photos. I wasn’t expecting much, but the coffee and toast were actually pretty good!
