Could be 4 stars if not for the price point. First time trying the chicken rice set because of NDP vouchers ($5.90, usual price $7). Overall, the chicken rice was plump and fragrant. The chicken was tender and of good portion (including the vegetables and cucumber). However, the outlook needs improvement; tables were not cleared and the return tray area was packed full. Other popular dishes ordered by others were the roasted chicken rice and laksa.

The chicken was visibly undercooked, with pink, raw-looking parts. This is unacceptable, especially for poultry. Serious attention to food safety is needed.

Reasonable price. The chicken rice is good and fragrant. The soup is good too. The chilli is awesome. It can be crowded and hot during lunch and dinner hours. Even off-peak, the staff took their own sweet time to prepare the food. This has been observed many times.

This is the second time I am buying this chicken rice, and it was horrible. Today I bought the roasted chicken rice, and sadly, it was not even cooked properly. I will not be buying from them ever again. It's not even worth the price paid. It tasted raw.

I had a frustrating experience at a food stall today. After ordering two packets of chicken rice for takeaway, the cashier auntie started questioning me about my nationality. Despite my polite response that I'm a Singaporean citizen, she repeatedly asked, 'Are you sure?' I felt taken aback and wondered if I needed to show my ID just to buy a packet of chicken rice. The whole encounter felt unnecessary and nonsensical.

A comforting bowl of chicken laksa ($5.50) for dine-in. The tau pok was soft and well-soaked with the gravy. There were about 3 pieces of round-cut fish cake. I requested boneless chicken breast meat to round up the meal.

I ordered chicken rice with a braised egg and was charged $7.40. Upon returning, I discovered there was no egg at all. Is this how they cheat customers? It seems to be a common gimmick among food stores now.

It was delicious. But next time, if anyone wants to dine in here, just say 'makan' or something else instead of 'having here' to avoid miscommunication.

My Kampung is located at Seletar Mall on level B2. It's one of the halal options available at the mall, and the food is pretty good, mostly featuring chicken dishes with some side dishes. Dine-in and takeaway are both available.
