Namu Bulgogi is Singapore's pioneering halal-certified Korean oakwood smoke-grilling barbecue restaurant, offering a revolutionary dining experience with authentic oakwood-imparted flavors at multiple locations including Tampines 1, Hillion, and Northpoint City. This innovative establishment combines traditional Korean barbecue techniques with unique oakwood smoking methods, creating distinctive smoky sweetness while maintaining natural juiciness and freshness in their meats.
The restaurant features a hybrid menu comprising signature oakwood smoke-grilled meats, trendy newcomers like chicken chunks with gochujang and corn cheese, and beloved classics such as jjigae, ramyeon, and tteokbokki. Popular dishes include their 2-in-1 OSG Chicken with Corn Cheese, Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Oxtail, and Haemul Pancake, all prepared using their specialized oakwood grilling process visible through glass windows.
Operating daily from 11:30am to 10pm with last orders at 9pm, Namu Bulgogi has successfully introduced halal Korean barbecue to Singapore's diverse Muslim community. Their unique cooking method eliminates post-meal barbecue odors while allowing diners to witness the culinary artistry, making it an accessible and authentic Korean dining destination that bridges traditional flavors with modern halal requirements.

This was a disappointing experience. We queued for 20 minutes to get a seat, then had to wait another 20 minutes for our mediocre food to be served.
Do not get the sundubu jjigae. It was one of the worst tofu stews I've ever had. The broth tasted diluted, and the ingredients had no flavour from the soup, as if they were just thrown together in a bowl and served immediately. The chicken was semi-decent, but the portion was quite small, and the cheese had a very weird, creamy consistency.
The only saving grace for this outlet was that it was halal. There are a large number of non-halal Korean food alternatives that are much better.

Absolutely blown away by Namu Bulgogi at Tampines One! This is truly Singapore's first and only Oakwood Smoke-Grill Korean restaurant, and you can TASTE the difference. The smoky aroma and deep flavour are incredible. The 8-hour slow-cooked oxtail is a MUST-TRY – fall-off-the-bone tender. It's a perfect spot for groups; the Namu Signature Set offers excellent value.

Loved the Namu Signature Set! The oakwood smoked bulgogi beef was full of flavour, and the set came with tasty sides like haemul pancake and cheesy gyeran jjim. Free-flow rice and banchan were a bonus, and the quail egg jangjorim was a hit with the little one. The staff recommended the oxtail stew — will be back to try that. A great spot for a cosy Korean meal!

Still as good as my previous visit. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The namu signature set is value for money.
Casual dining at Tampines 1. Friendly service despite peak hour. Highly recommend their oxtail - very tender and flavourful. The pancake is also nice, not too doughy.

The food tastes pretty normal, but the portions are generous. The staff is nice. The place is always crowded with a long queue. The soy garlic sauce is too sweet. Food was served pretty fast, less than 10 minutes. Free flow of banchan (kimchi and radish) is provided.

We feasted
2-in-1 Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Chicken w/ Corn Cheese
Double the flavour – one OG, one spicy gochujang. Both grilled to smoky, cheesy, juicy perfection.
OSG Oxtail
Slow-cooked till it’s fall-off-the-bone tender. Rich, savoury, and straight-up soul food. Trust us, this one hits deep.
Seafood Fried Rice
Packed with oakwood grilled tiger prawns & squid. Smoky, savoury, and seriously addictive.
Also included to seal the deal:
Free Chicken Sundubu Jjigae, but we upgraded to Seafood Jjigae for just +$2. Totally worth it!!
Free-flow rice, kimchi, and radish banchan (yes, it’s unlimited).
1 round of potato + quail egg jangjorim (the perfect sidekick).
And because we don’t play when it comes to flavour… we had to add more:
Chicken Chunks
Crispy outside, juicy inside. Pop one and you’ll be hooked.
Haemul Pancake
Golden-crispy edges. The kind of pancake that slaps.

We got the Namu Signature Set in Christmas Version.
This set comes with:
Cranberry Cheese 2 in 1 OSG Chicken
Two different flavours of smoke-grilled chicken, original and gochujang sauce, served with creamy molten cheese. I enjoyed the tender, moist chicken with its subtle smoke and stronger savoury sweet sauce flavours, overlaid with a milder savoury sweet layer from the creamy cheese.
Stuffed OSG Squid stole the show with its smoky, succulent pieces – soft chewiness without being rubbery.
Hongdae Toowoomba Tteokbokki
While we are not fans of tteokbokki, the sauce was really a game changer!
Completing the set with FREE Chicken Sundubu Jjigae (upgrade to Seafood Sundubu Jjigae for an additional $2), traditional sides like Potato Quail Egg Jangjorim, and FREE FLOW kimchi, radish, and steamed rice. Really value for money.
We upgraded to Seafood Sundubu Jjigae.
This spicy soft tofu stew, brimming with prawns, clams, mussels, tofu, and enoki mushrooms, provides a soothing warmth.
We extra ordered Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Original Chicken with Green Chili.
The boneless chicken thighs, known for their tenderness, are enhanced by the oakwood smoke, which imparts a subtle yet distinct smokiness. The real star, however, is the house-made green chili sauce. This tangy and slightly spicy condiment drizzled over the chicken adds a burst of zesty freshness – making it hard to resist reaching for another piece.
