Bought 2 sets of nasi lemak with added bagedil, and was charged $19.40. However, the bagedil was not included in the box. Should have checked there and then! Very dishonest.

The food was pretty solid, however the staff was being very rude. I ordered a curry rice set with extra rice. I told the staff that the rice was a bit dry as the curry sauce given was a little too less, and tried to ask if they could provide a bit more sauce to balance it out. She rolled her eyes at me while frowning, telling me that the curry sauce was finished. It's 3 PM in the afternoon and she said it's FINISHED?? If she had said it nicely and with a better tone, I probably wouldn't have written this review. If it was chargeable, I wouldn't mind paying it as the food was really pretty good. Instead, she told me FINISHED, NO COOK. I think management needs to take a closer look into their staff's attitude before they start to ruin the brand itself.

I wish to provide feedback that I am very upset with the customer service at the KKH outlet. Not only did I have to repeat my order more than twice, but I also mentioned, not once or twice, but more than eight times, "Sambal semua lain kan" (Sambal all separate, right?). And I trusted the staff. But when I reached home, I found BOTH packets with sambal IN the same packet, and it had touched the chicken too. It cost $18, and both had to be given away. I also had to get new lunch. There's a reason we want the sambal separated, which is why it was requested. Poor communication amongst staff.

The food was really disappointing. We ordered Set 1, their Michelin-winning set. I was appalled at the standard of the food; it ranked lower than a hawker stall nasi lemak. The rice was lumped together and wet, and the chicken meat and skin were dry on the outside, leaving nothing to be desired. I regretted bringing my friend to eat here when he was considering another food option nearby. I tried a similar branch at LPS, and it was heavenly. This branch really needs to improve its food quality significantly to do justice to the brand name. Avoid this branch until they implement proper quality control and assurance.

2025 update:
This is upsetting. I saw an online post criticizing them and thought of trying the main branch. While it wasn't that bad, the overall decrease in quality is just so much that it doesn't justify the increase in price to $7.60. It feels like they are cutting corners somewhere.
Lower quality chicken or ikan bilis and peanuts? Again, no char taste from the chicken, and this time it was dry and not tender at all. The only saving grace was the sauce, which is still consistent, hot, and spicy. Shiok! But I think they increased the MSG... so thirsty after eating. I'm not a hater of MSG, but I don't remember being this thirsty after eating it last time. The rice was also fragrant and sweet.
However, the peanuts and ikan bilis were so bad I don't know how their quality depreciated so much. These peanuts just give me a headache chewing on them. The muscles in my temples are in pain after all this.
Very disappointing.
2023 update:
Not consistent. Chicken was dry and didn't have that grill char taste. But at least the price was the cheapest.

Got their signature ayam taliwang lemak for $6.90. 10 minutes from queue till seated.
Godly: taste of chicken! You get the unique BBQ char of chicken for this. While it might be on the dryer side, it is still juicy.
Pros: chili! Barely survived without drinks. Immediately went to find sugarcane juice after that. I was quite impressed that I survived. The spicy level piles up, I guess.
Egg white was more elegantly done, mostly smooth with no rough edges.
Initially, I thought the rice was too sticky, but it was all well after mixing in the sambal chili.
Cons: ikan bilis was pretty salty, could cut it just a bit.
Area for improvement: the chicken thigh is actually not the most tender. Not sure how, since it is BBQ, but nevertheless, they still come off the bone easily, just that you can feel on your tongue that the thigh is on the slightly tougher side, akin to chicken breast.
