Old Chang Kee has been Singapore's legendary curry puff destination since 1956, when it began as a humble stall in a coffee shop near Rex Cinema on Mackenzie Road, earning the nickname "Rex Curry Puff." Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Han Keen Juan, who acquired the business in 1986, Old Chang Kee transformed from a small corner stall into Singapore's most recognized snack chain, officially receiving halal certification from MUIS on January 7, 2005.
Every Old Chang Kee curry puff contains their signature blend of zesty curried potatoes, succulent bite-sized chicken chunks, and slices of boiled egg, mixed with a perfect combination of herbs and spices that has remained consistent for decades. Beyond their legendary curry puffs (rebranded as Curry'O in 2008), the menu includes Singapore chicken curry, nasi lemak, Singapore laksa, and various local snacks that celebrate Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.
With over 100 retail outlets worldwide including 80+ locations across Singapore and international presence in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, Old Chang Kee sells more than 40,000 curry puffs daily. The company has earned prestigious recognition including the SPBA Distinctive Brand Awards 2005, Singapore Brand Award Heritage Award 2005, and selection by U.S. Travel & Leisure Magazine as one of the world's 20 best fast food chains in 2012 - the only Singapore brand to receive this honor.

The Malay staff there are really kind, but there's one Chinese old aunty who's really grumpy. I didn't mean to be so specific, but that's the only description I have as I didn't manage to get her name (she was covered by the cashier), and she is the only Chinese lady there. She just stood behind the cashier not doing anything while there were plenty of customers and just kept instructing the Malay male staff beside her. I find that really unkind and disrespectful of her towards both her colleagues and customers. Hope she can do better. I just aim to raise awareness for future customers, and if this is not a one-time issue, others can also share their experience. So if the management happens to see this, it would be good to advise the aunty not to bring the team atmosphere at that outlet down, as well as the service quality to customers, because the other team members are really very helpful and nice.

Wondering nowadays why their food quality is really not good. The taste is why I stopped buying from them. They should improve their cooking so it will be better and can gain customer trust.

Totally absurd, I wish I could give negative stars. First of all, they were very rude. I was trying my best to shake it off, all I wanted was my food. I ordered my platter set via Grab. When I came over to collect, I politely asked if my order was ready, and none of them answered my question. They made me wait for 10 minutes, then when it was ready, they called my Q number. I asked again, 'Is it complete?' She said yes in a very rude tone. When I reached home to my kids, I saw that my food order was incomplete. My kids didn't get enough dinner that day, and in the end, I had to order again from another outlet. I won't forgive what they did to make my day miserable.

This particular outlet has served cold and soggy fried food to me several times. This time, I forgot to check and received cold and deflated nuggets, wet and soggy big fishballs, and sotong balls that were basically so dry inside. I have decided to review. Buyers should check for the warmth of their food before heading off.

Did u reduce ur ingredients for sadine and potato? If u did then sorry i will never buy from u again
Did you reduce the ingredients for sardine and potato? If you did, then sorry, I will never buy from you again. Profits are at their highest yet, so it's stingy with your ingredients.

The fish balls are still warm and tasty, but much less salty. The curry puffs had a well-balanced mix of chicken and potatoes. Awesome snacks for a busy Sunday.
