Came here craving their fried wanton and wanted my sister to try it. We ordered 2 fried wanton noodles and 1 large fried wanton. When asked to pay at the counter, the bill was supposed to be $23+ but was initially stated as $70+ due to a system error, so they calculated it manually. We ordered no chili, but it came with chili. After informing them, they changed it. I asked for extra sweet black sauce, and they said they would refill it. However, I wanted another portion for my sister so we wouldn't have to share, for hygiene reasons and out of precaution due to COVID. We came with excitement but lost our appetite due to the poor service.

I used to frequent this place very often during its heyday at Far East Plaza. I miss the Thai bee hoon, which was drier and more flavorful in the past. Now, it comes with a little soup, and the flavor is only a hint of what it used to be. It's very bland now, and I didn't enjoy it at all. The fried wontons are okay, though a bit greasy. The honeydew chicken noodles don't taste like honeydew; they taste like some roast meat sauce. I found it so-so.

This place is truly a legend, bringing back nostalgic vibes from the 90s and 2000s. I used to eat here back then during my teens and early 20s when prices were cheap. Recently, I noticed the price for my favourite side dish has jumped from $3 to $9, but hey, everything has gone up! Anyway, their roasted chicken noodle is still my all-time favourite dish here. Oh, and payment and ordering can now be done by scanning a QR code.

Lunchtime in Singapore! I was looking for a halal food spot and found this interesting halal restaurant, so I headed straight to Far East Plaza. Made it to Level 5, and thankfully the queue wasn’t long yet. I quickly ordered their signature dishes: Beef Kway Teow and Salted Egg Chicken Rice. Can’t wait to dig in! The food was delicious—perfectly balanced flavors, not too salty, and really enjoyable. The portions were generous, so we took our time to finish everything. The place started to get quite busy, which is always a good sign! Highly recommended if you’re looking for tasty halal Chinese food in Singapore. The official halal certification is clearly displayed on the wall, so you can dine with peace of mind.

Worth The Try! Taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wide range of Chinese cuisine with super fast service. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Expect crowds the moment they open. The ambience makes you feel like you're experiencing local, rustic street food moments. There isn't a specific queue line, but patrons would queue up automatically to ensure FCFS (first-come, first-served). It's not particularly advisable for those with babies and strollers, but you'll be able to park your strollers along the corridor at the tables located at the sides. Recommended Dishes: Fried Wanton Honeydew Chicken Noodle Claypot Rice

Ordered 2 mains to try and skipped the sides as they were rather pricey for the wantons. The frozen chicken cubes weren’t to my wife’s liking, and they were found in both dishes we ordered. On my end, I did enjoy the crispy noodle HK style, but given that it’s a frozen chicken cube, I might opt for the seafood variant in the future. Decent price for the area, and I would probably consider returning if I lack other choices.

Great Muslim Chinese food with huge portions. We tried their Beef Claypot and Salted Egg Chicken set and shared the Sambal wanton between 2 people, and could barely finish. There was no queue on a Sunday morning, and we paid 33 SGD for 2 pax. Would recommend!
