Subway Singapore has achieved full halal certification across all 131 outlets, representing a significant milestone after the franchise stopped serving pork products in 2018 to meet MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore) strict requirements. This global submarine sandwich chain now offers complete halal dining for Muslim customers, making their extensive menu accessible to Singapore's diverse population.

The restaurant specializes in customizable submarine sandwiches available in 6-inch and foot-long sizes, prepared fresh before your eyes with a wide assortment of halal-certified meats, cheeses, vegetables and toppings on freshly baked bread. Popular menu items include the tender Chicken Teriyaki, zesty Italian B.M.T.®, hearty Roasted Chicken, and the unique Chilli Crab Sub that blends traditional Singapore flavors with the iconic Subway experience.

After almost seven months of transition process, all Subway restaurants in Singapore now display official MUIS halal certificates, ensuring compliance with Islamic dietary laws. This transformation from 22 years of serving non-halal items to complete halal certification demonstrates Subway's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, making them a trusted choice for Muslims seeking convenient, customizable sandwich options across the island.

I dined in here last night (24 Aug 2025) around 9–9:30 PM. I rarely dine in, but after the gym, I wanted to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal. Unfortunately, while I was eating, two staff members were alternately banging utensils and kitchen equipment. At first, I thought it was just normal handling of stainless tools, but it became progressively louder—especially when banged by the taller staff member. The constant noise was really irritating and annoying. I couldn’t help but ask if they were okay and why they were banging the tools like that, as I was quite annoyed. One of them apologized, which I appreciated. I understand it was late and maybe the staff were dealing with something, but it could have been handled differently. Using the tools that way created unnecessary noise and affected the customers’ dining experience. I suggest you consider professionalism or restaurant/fast food etiquette training, or customer service, or even workplace stress and conflict management training.

The tuna portion was ridiculously small, less than a teaspoon. The food preparation also looked unappetizing. I requested it toasted, but it wasn't done. The cheese wasn't melted and the bread was soggy.

The staff at this outlet located at Ci Yuan were really super rude, with attitude problems and not friendly. Seriously, hopefully someone can relook into this outlet's service attitude. I visited this outlet 2 days ago. First, there was no greeting. When I wanted to make an order, the male staff just stared at me like I owed him a lot of money, with no greeting or questions. I proceeded to make an order. After the bun was toasted, he didn't bother to ask me and just stood there waiting. He was really rude, not a single word from his mouth. I wasn't even rude, and I'm paying money to receive such rude service. I doubt I will go back to this outlet, even though it's the nearest to my place. While I'm typing this review, I realised that wow, so many viewers have commented on their rude service.

The sandwich artist here is extremely rude and unhygienic. He’s tall and Malay (I believe another reviewer has already posted his photo). I witnessed him resting his gloved hands on a dirty counter, then continuing to prepare new sandwiches without changing gloves. This made me question the cleanliness and food safety at this outlet. When I asked for clarification about their promotions and menu, he rolled his eyes as if I should already know everything about Subway. His attitude is extremely rude, hostile, and dismissive.

Saw that they were having a promotion, a buddy meal which consists of a tuna and teriyaki chicken sandwich. I tried ordering the buddy meal but was told that the teriyaki chicken had been sold out. The shop attendant didn't make any suggestions or offer a replacement; instead, she just stood there. There was also no bread or cookie selection available. I arrived at 9pm, and perhaps the store was closing at 10pm, which is why there wasn't much left. It was quite disappointing.
