Dear Chef Ammar, The only redeeming aspects of our visit were the lovely décor and the enchanting Arabian musicians. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations. The service was painfully slow — we ordered two mains and a starter (Palestinian Hummus). Only one main arrived initially, and the second came after we had already finished the first. Note that the portion was really small. The Palestinian hummus? Completely vanished — never arrived, not even by the end of our meal. Drinks were also missing in action. We had to chase down staff to ask about both the hummus and our beverages. We even placed an extra order for fries because the Adana Chicken Kebab turned out to be surprisingly spicy — a first for us, and not in a good way. It also took ages to arrive. We added on fries because the Adana Chicken was spicy for our toddler, and that also took another ridiculously long wait. Our drinks and hummus finally made their grand entrance… after we were essentially done eating. Seeing how slow things were, we immediately asked for the kunafa — and yet, it still took an incredibly long time to show up. When the bill came, we noticed the hummus was magically replaced with a different bread we never ordered or were informed about. Hummus usually comes with its own bread, so this felt like a sneaky upsell — very disappointing. We came for a special Mother’s Day dinner, but sadly, this experience was a letdown from start to finish. Safe to say, we won’t be returning. It’s better off dining at any of the restaurants near Masjid Sultan; much better value and service.

Had a meal here a few months ago during their 40% discount on Grab. When we walked in for lunch, only two other tables were seated, and it was very quiet. The server was nice and brought out a cake as we were celebrating a birthday. The food was not the best; I’ve had more flavourful Turkish food and would be better off going to the Sultan Mosque area. During payment, I was paying through Grab and thought to use an existing voucher on the app. The cashier told me I wasn't allowed to use it as it wouldn't tally with their receipt. That was fair enough, and I paid accordingly without fuss. I understand that sometimes merchants don't accept vouchers. Subsequently, I returned to my seat only to hear the cashier telling his colleague that people should not 'anyhow pay and should ask first lah.' If a restaurant accepts various payment forms, they should anticipate customers using associated benefits. Perhaps do due diligence and inform customers beforehand. Customers don't know your rules or payment systems. I was informed, and it was a non-issue. However, talking about customers within earshot is unprofessional. It was a slow day and not busy, so the attitude was unwelcome. Maybe discuss customers in the backroom? Once again, the server was really nice. Negative points for the cashier, though. It only takes one person to ruin the service.

Located within the hotel, Tarboush serves splendid Mediterranean food. Some notable dishes are Palestinian Hummus, Cheese Pide, and the Mandi Mix. I had a good time there, although it can be quite crowded on Saturdays.

Tarboush Restaurant – Singapore Tarboush is a high-end Middle Eastern restaurant located in the heart of Singapore. The place is clean, elegant, and offers a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered: Chicken Kabsa - 10/10 Chicken Kebab - 10/10 Tabbouleh - 10/10 The food was delicious and full of authentic flavors. The Chicken Kabsa was well-cooked and flavorful, the Chicken Kebab was juicy and tender, and the Tabbouleh was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service was excellent – very fast and professional. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality Arabic food in Singapore.

The service and staff were friendly. Ordering was easy; however, there were hardly any options for vegetarians. The restaurant is part of Village Bugis hotel and located on the 3rd level. It can be accessed by escalator or lift. I ordered pizza and falafel. The quality could be improved, as the falafel was very dry and the pizza wasn’t well cooked. The vibe was great (see photos). The decor is fantastic. The price is much higher than it should be for the food, however, the key would be to improve the quality.
