Dear Chef Ammar, The only redeeming aspects of our visit were the lovely décor and the enchanting Arabian musicians. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations. The service was painfully slow — we ordered two mains and a starter (Palestinian Hummus). Only one main arrived initially, and the second came after we had already finished the first. Note that the portion was really small. The Palestinian hummus? Completely vanished — never arrived, not even by the end of our meal. Drinks were also missing in action. We had to chase down staff to ask about both the hummus and our beverages. We even placed an extra order for fries because the Adana Chicken Kebab turned out to be surprisingly spicy — a first for us, and not in a good way. It also took ages to arrive. We added on fries because the Adana Chicken was spicy for our toddler, and that also took another ridiculously long wait. Our drinks and hummus finally made their grand entrance… after we were essentially done eating. Seeing how slow things were, we immediately asked for the kunafa — and yet, it still took an incredibly long time to show up. When the bill came, we noticed the hummus was magically replaced with a different bread we never ordered or were informed about. Hummus usually comes with its own bread, so this felt like a sneaky upsell — very disappointing. We came for a special Mother’s Day dinner, but sadly, this experience was a letdown from start to finish. Safe to say, we won’t be returning. It’s better off dining at any of the restaurants near Masjid Sultan; much better value and service.
