We wanted to try as we had walked past before. Unfortunately, there was no nasi goreng sate ayam, so we opted for the chicken rendang set. The spiciness and taste were nice, but the chicken, bergedil, and brinjal were all rather hard.
My wife went for the ayam penyat and was told it would take 10 minutes to fry. However, we waited for over 20 minutes as the lady running the stall had forgotten her order, and hers was the only one at the time! Must say though that the chicken was crispy and freshly fried, and the tofu was also nice. The chilli packed a kick too.
The Teh O ice was okay, but at $2.20, it was rather expensive. Actually, for the prices, the food portions were just so-so.
Service was okay, but without any smile, which is so different from eating in Indonesia.

Extremely disappointed with my takeaway experience at this shop. I ordered pempek for $6 and was shocked to receive only four small pieces. The portion was incredibly pathetic, not at all what I expected. Pempek is not supposed to be served in such a manner. Take a look at the attached picture to see just how disappointing the portion was.

Food was delicious, especially the Ayam Geprek. Staff was nice and friendly.
The only downside was that some drinks didn't have prices displayed. I was taken aback when it cost $3.50 (I had enquired if Bandung was available, and the staff proceeded to make it). I saw the price on the register and couldn't cancel the order as it was already halfway made.
Perhaps it's a special drink, but I would appreciate it if the stall displayed their prices to better prepare customers when buying. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Their bakmi is less salty now, perhaps they've reduced the noodle seasoning. I ordered bakmi bakso, which came with cubed chicken meat and mushrooms topping instant noodles. Separately, they served the bakso in soup, but the soup itself was salty and oily. I liked the texture of their beef ball; it was firm and tender. The price is above average.

Saw the sign that says Sate Madura and decided to try it out. It states 5 sticks of chicken satay for $7.50 and 10 for $15. When asked if I wanted chicken or mutton at the counter, I asked if I could mix and the counter lady said yes. So I ordered 5 chicken and 5 mutton. I was charged $7.50 for the 5 chicken sticks and $10 for the 5 mutton sticks. Wow! Shocker number 1. Then I ordered mixed pempek for $6 at the drink stall. You can see for yourself the satay is very much tweaked to Singapore style. I have eaten many Sate Madura, and it was mostly sweet soya sauce with a tinge of peanut sauce. This one is different. The sauce was also not sweet enough, unlike those I have tasted before in Indonesia. Maybe HPB has done a very good job to reduce sugar. Lol. The size of the satay portions were decent and much bigger than the usual you get in Singapore, which may explain the price. Chicken meat was nicely cooked, but the mutton had varying tenderness; still chewable, but some parts were much tougher. It was either the seasoning or the mutton was not fresh, as there was a tinge of sourness in some portions of the serving I got. For the pempek, it came in 1 piece of each type, but the sizes were rather small, like a typical fish ball size, such as those small fish balls from OCK. Taste-wise, it was served crunchy and was not chewy. The sweet soya sauce is decent but lacks the oomph of those found in Indonesia. I may return if I crave for pempek, but not for the satay. Maybe I will try the penyet dishes or the bakso next time.
