Till this point of my life, I can safely say this has to be the worst food I have ever eaten. If the food isn't stale because it has a strange odour, then it must be extremely awful. Photos of what it's supposed to be and what was served are enclosed here for your own judgment. The two main orders were a Laksa noodle and a Tom Yum ramen. The Laksa was just plain bland or tasteless with no fragrance whatsoever, and the Tom Yum smelled bad and tasted fishy, as if the puny prawns in it were either uncooked or simply stale. It was supposed to come with Japanese ramen according to the menu, but what was served were Chinese yellow noodles instead, and FYI, the taste is entirely different from Japanese ramen. I am not a fussy eater and I don't waste food, but after the first bite of the noodles with a sip of soup, I gave up; I couldn't eat this. As for the Laksa, my son was kinder; he downed it with at least 3 tbsp of chili but also agreed that the Laksa was one of the worst foods he had ever tasted. This is clearly a 0-star noodle cafe based on those two dishes. So, will we be back to give them a second chance to try the other dishes? NEVER!

Very reasonable prices for special noodles made from carrots, spinach, pumpkin, paprika. With prices like $4.50/$5.50 (now $6.80 etc. due to price increases as of 2024), the side dishes ($3.80) seem to be frozen and not so good. The sauces and coffee ($1.20) come in as instant and are really bad. For the price you pay, there's nothing to shout about or complain about. Taste-wise, it's not good for Muslim Chinese food. Will not visit if possible.

I would like to provide honest feedback about Yumen Hut. I usually don't write bad reviews, but the food served was atrocious. I ordered a bowl of laksa, and firstly, the presentation was off. The soup was very diluted, with three hard tau pok, two prawns, and two small pieces of chicken. My partner had curry noodles with chicken wings that were hard to eat, and lots of curry leaves floating around. What is this?! Your staff doesn't even seem to care about what you sell. We ended up having McDonald's afterwards. This experience left a totally bad impression of the mall. There's no effort in your recipes at all. Please take your business seriously.

I would say it is a relatively cheap option found in Downtown East. There is a variety of noodles and soup bases to choose from. We chose Tom Yum with pumpkin noodles and Seafood soup with carrot noodles. However, the taste was really so-so. Once is enough :)

There's different choices of noodles served here and you can choose the way you want it to be served

There are different choices of noodles served here, and you can choose how you want them prepared. The ingredients are fresh and healthy. The Otah is also recommended as it's thick and tasty, unlike conventional Otah. The price is very reasonable, and there's no service charge or GST. The estimated price for two people is only around $12. I've already visited more than once.

Quite shocked to see the low reviews for this place. My wife and I have been eating here for the past few years and can assure you there hasn't been any drop in food standards. The food tastes just as it always has, although it may not appeal to everyone's palate. We recently dined here on a Wednesday night, and although there were quite a number of patrons, food service was fast, and we encountered no issues with the food or the staff.
