The worst service EVER. All we ordered was fried rice, sweet & sour chicken (which had no fish ♂️) and baby kailan. The kailan came first. 15 minutes later the S&S chicken arrived… still no rice. 20 minutes later the rice arrived We were always told it would be here next, but lots of other people were served instead. There are much better places to try here. DO NOT EAT HERE!
I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because it’s a great atmosphere in the food court, but not for the food stall itself.

Dined at Takara Grilled Seafood at Newton Food Centre and ordered the fried baby squid (medium), mussels (medium), and a large fried rice for 51 SGD. While the price felt a bit high for a hawker setting, the portions were generous and most of the food was tasty. The mussels, however, had a slightly raw taste. On the positive side, the service was friendly and efficient, and they provided cutlery and serviettes, a thoughtful touch that's quite rare in Singapore hawker stalls. Overall, a unique and satisfying experience.

The salted fried rice tasted purely of salt, and the crab dish was terrible. The fried rice for 3 pax was only enough for one person, and we were given some extra plain rice to compensate. We should have tried another shop.

Can't understand why some rated it so high. Honestly, the stingray chilli sambal tasted too salty, and the stall owner even missed out the shrimp chinchalok sauce for dipping. The seafood was quite expensive at $12. Tried it once only. Anyway, it's a halal stall located beside Best Satay.

Given the many BBQ seafood stalls here at Newton Food Centre, I feel they ought to buck up. Honestly, the food is very average. It's not bad, but it's not great either. The saving grace is that they open their stall quite late into the night. So, when we walked in looking for late-night supper options, they were one of the only few stalls left open. If there were other options, this wouldn't be my choice.
