I was very disappointed with this place. The items are seriously overpriced for what you get, and the quality did not justify the cost. On top of that, there’s a service charge even though you have to queue and order at the counter yourself—hardly any service is provided! Overall, it felt like paying extra for nothing, and I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

The food is just okay, with still a lot of room for improvement. The only downside is that it's super expensive. Compared to other restaurants in the vicinity, the prices are really too high. They charge a 10% service charge, but we have to order at the counter? This is ridiculous. Why do we have to pay service charge when we have to queue and order at the counter? Where is the waiter who is supposed to take our order? Teh Tarik costs $4.50? Plain thosai costs $6? The Briyani is expensive but reasonable for the taste, but everything else is too pricey. Teh Tarik should be $3 at the very maximum. Plain thosai should be $4 at the very maximum. The prices on the menu must really be reduced to remain competitive and to encourage regular customers to return. The price on the menu is not inclusive of GST. Think about it: 10% service charge and 8% GST? I may not consider coming again; I'd rather eat elsewhere in the airport.

Totally a waste, all food was pre-prepared a long time ago. Everything is just heated and served. I complained that the idly was dry and prepared long ago. After that, they served a few more idlies, but those were also very old and not good, prepared long ago. Yet, they charged GST and service charge. Totally money-minded. The Singapore Food Authority has to inspect this type of restaurant. Comparing to India, food safety is totally a waste in Singapore. #singapore_food_safety

We visited Anjappar Restaurant at Changi Airport Terminal 1 and ordered tea, coffee, fish roast, and gulab jamun. The tea was watery, the milk didn’t taste fresh, and the fish seemed old and not safe for consumption. We spent $50, and it felt like a waste due to the poor food quality. I urge the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to inspect this outlet to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are being maintained.

Complete money-making tricks. I am so disappointed. I brought my guest to T1 Changi on 29/9/24 at 5:45 pm. The food they served was not value for money. The samosas were frozen and not fresh; I could taste they weren't made today. The vadai was also not fresh. The coconut chutney tasted sour (almost spoiled). The tea was not hot, just warm. Bandung at $7.00 is a crazy price. Two samosas cost $8.00, and two vadai cost $4.50. Three teas cost $13.00. Quality-wise, a lot needs to improve. The seating area was not friendly; we had to squeeze ourselves in. SATS should look into this outlet. I am so sorry, I won't recommend this outlet to any of my foreign guests. I regretted this evening. Dear management, please look into your business development. We paid more but received worse than normal. Good luck.

8am. It was quiet. I got a set meal. The staff were not friendly. The price felt overrated, especially when two Indian customers came, looked at the prices, and left without ordering, which I think says a lot. To me, the food was just okay. It wasn't quiet as other guests were talking loudly until I played a video on my mobile loudly.

My daughter was craving Indian food, so we ended up at this restaurant. To be honest, I was hesitant at first due to the mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a try—and I'm glad we did! We ordered aloo puri, onion uttapam, and a few other items, and the food turned out to be really good. My wife and daughter both enjoyed it. I think some of the negative reviews might stem from people ordering the wrong type of food. If you go for dishes like dosa or anything they can prepare fresh in advance, you'll likely enjoy it too. I haven't tried the dishes others have complained about, so I can't comment on those. But based on our experience, it's a good restaurant and worth a visit if you're in the mood for Indian food.

Great place for authentic Indian food. Dined in using the FAVE voucher for the discounted $15 set, the Anjappar Popular mutton meal. Nice ambience and food taste. The cracker was unfortunately not crispy. Only the mutton was hot upon serving; others seemed to be served at room temperature. The staff were friendly, but they didn't really understand our questions, though they might nod their heads and say OK. You may need to come with a friend who can speak their language to communicate better. Otherwise, the food is pretty authentic, on the spicier side. May come back again if I'm at this terminal.

The food was good. It was a pleasant surprise to see South Indian vegetarian items like pongal and vadai available in a non-vegetarian hotel. The prices are reasonable.

I loved their curry and Masala Tea, which is quite similar to ginger tea but less spicy and more fragrant. Overall, the price is a bit on the high side, I guess it can't be helped as the location is in a tourist area. Also, they seemed a bit shorthanded with only one person manning the cashier around 5 am and also the server, but they carried out orders pretty effectively.
