On September 15th, I went for the dinner menu. The last page had written 'chicken and mutton' and mentioned 'buy Halal'. However, there was a cleaner boy who served my group's food and then also served beer. I was very angry because if you can serve beer, then you cannot serve beer. Today, I did not see the manager, so I could not complain.

I visited the restaurant on Friday evening, 29th August 2025, and unfortunately had a very poor experience with a waitress wearing a pink churidar top. I wanted to order the Veg North Indian Combo 1. Initially, the waiter taking the order confirmed it was available. However, the waitress in the pink churidar top, who was eating at a nearby table, signaled with eye gestures that it was not available. This left us confused about whether to continue dining at the restaurant. Later, the cashier informed us that the combo was indeed available, except the biryani was not. I requested to replace the biryani with fried rice, and she agreed. However, when the food was served, we were surprised to receive biryani instead of the fried rice. This is not the first time we’ve faced such issues. Each time I visit the restaurant with my fiancé, the same waitress in the pink churidar top behaves unprofessionally and makes the experience unpleasant. I kindly request that she be reminded to provide better customer service, as her behavior is making us hesitant to visit a restaurant we otherwise like.

Edit: Since the time of my review (see below), I've stopped eating here. I usually have dosas, and their batter is frequently over-fermented, making the dosas very sour. Their chutneys are served ice-cold, as though they've been stored in the freezer for a week. I also experience severe acidity and bile after consuming their food. They are definitely cutting corners and serving unhealthy food. Avoid at all costs. (Original Review): A decent restaurant for South Indian food. They make excellent dosas, which are served with delicious sambar. However, the chutneys are sometimes stale and can seem like yesterday's defrosted stock. I've had stomach upsets a few times after eating here. It's a South Indian establishment; don't order North Indian food like roti, naan, paneer masala, etc. If you are vegetarian, make sure to specify several times that you won't be eating your chapati with chicken gravy. This place is usually frequented by meat-eaters, and the waiters tend to assume all their customers are the same. The ambiance is below average. The restaurant is usually crowded and noisy, but the staff do the best they can.

As a Singaporean Chinese, I ordered the non-veg combo set ($16, after tax $19.18), which was so-so for me. This set came with biryani chicken (the chicken was a little shrivelled and small), yoghurt with fresh veg (nice), rice (too much considering the portion), naan, and butter chicken. I liked the plain naan dipped in the butter chicken sauce. However, the butter chicken gravy was sweeter than what I usually have at other Indian stalls. The ball dessert was way too sweet for me, but that's the norm for them. Overall, I think it's a good set to try a variety of Indian dishes. My Indian friends seem to find this brand decent and would frequent here. It's pretty expensive after taxes. I would visit here once in a while. Good service.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was disappointed with the Mutton Biryani. The portion of mutton was extremely small—just two tiny, bony pieces—which did not justify the $16 price tag. The pricing felt excessive, especially given the lack of substantial meat in the dish. When I asked the waiter if this was the standard portion of mutton, he simply said "yes" and walked away without any further explanation or concern. This lack of customer service added to the overall disappointment. On a positive note, the ambience was decent, offering an authentic Indian restaurant feel. However, the portion sizes and service definitely need improvement to match the cost and provide better value for customers.

A good restaurant overall. As Europeans, we are not very spice tolerant, but the spice level here was fine – spicy, but not too spicy. The staff were nice, and the ambience felt good. I particularly enjoyed the Indian music being played. Overall, a good experience.

Good Indian food with lots of variety, including vegetarian options. Dosa is also available, including the very long one. Newly renovated, so it's brighter, cleaner, and more appealing. Good, attentive service.

Visited this place yesterday with my family. I've been to Anjappar at other outlets, but this was my first time visiting this particular one. Since it was a public holiday and around 7:15 pm, the restaurant was completely occupied. We waited for 5 minutes and soon received a table. Both the ladies at the cash counter and taking orders were nice and fast. All the staff were prompt in their work. Food was served really fast, even though it was crowded. Appreciated! Since it was Navratri time for us, we only had vegetarian food. We chose to have their North Indian veg set meal, noodles, butter roti, and juice. Everything tasted delicious! At the cash counter, we saw that the speciality of the day was "Hariyana Special" Deer Biryani and roasted Deer. I haven't seen deer recipes at any other Anjappar outlet before when I visited.

Year 2024 Review: We are not very adventurous and ordered a few familiar dishes: - Chicken 65 - Chicken Lollipop - Butter & Cheese Naan - Cheese Masala The family enjoyed the food and finished everything.
