Honestly, the food isn't that great for Thai cuisine, nor is it great for Indonesian food. In trying to be both, it doesn't excel at either. The Tom Yum soup was perhaps the sweetest tomato soup I've ever had. Nothing really stood out, even after sampling multiple dishes. The upside was that the service was relatively attentive and good, unfortunately let down by the quality and taste of the food.

Visited Bali Thai at CWP and left pretty disappointed. We ordered the Ayam Panggang, Nasi Goreng Istimewa, and Tom Kha (chicken). For drinks, we got a young coconut and Thai milk tea. The Ayam Panggang was dry and lacked flavour—only the belacan chili saved it. The Nasi Goreng Istimewa was anything but special. The menu photo showed achar, anchovies, and other sides, but none of those came with the dish; it only came with satay, meat, salad, and crackers. I specifically ordered it for the achar, so that was really frustrating. The only highlight of the meal was the Tom Kha soup—it was flavourful and comforting. The “young” coconut wasn’t young at all. The flesh was tough and barely edible, which completely defeats the point of ordering one. I flagged the issues to the waiter, but he just mumbled to himself and didn’t offer any proper resolution. For a meal that cost over $30 per person, this was seriously underwhelming. Hope the management takes this feedback and improves both food quality and service, and depicts whatever is served accurately on the menu.

I've eaten here so many times and always get the fried char kway teow with grilled chicken. It's so good. However, on one occasion, there were many hard blue things in my noodles. I asked the waiter what they were, and he said it was just from the cooking. But they were literally neon blue, small, and very hard, and there were quite a few on my plate. The waiter seemed to want me to just accept it as normal. I had to bring it up again before they offered me a new plate. The new plate didn't have the blue things, and since this wasn't my first time ordering it, it clearly wasn't a normal occurrence from cooking. I don't understand why they tried to gaslight me into thinking it was. Anyway, I received a new serving and a discount off the bill. But definitely be careful when eating here. I still have no idea what those blue things were.

Food: For the cendol, the green cendol is tasteless. The red beans are too hard and taste undercooked. They are very stingy with the rice. The Tom Yum soup is too salty. The only good item was the grilled chicken cutlet on the Pad Thai. If it weren't for the chicken cutlet, I would have only given it 1 star. Service: It took them 25 minutes to serve just a cup of iced water. Atmosphere: The sofa seats are cracked and spikey to sit on.

Workday Friday lunch with friends. The chicken wrapped in pandan was surprisingly good, tender, and quite substantial. The sotong was a bit underwhelming. There was a short wait to get seated, even though there were no other customers, but the food came pretty quickly. Not the cheapest, but the flavours were good.

A casual diner serving Indonesian and Thai cuisine. The food was flavourful and the service was speedy. The restaurant is located in a section of the mall with very high foot traffic, so it can get quite noisy.

Went there with my friends for lunch. We were greeted by Mr. Steven and Mr. Hafiz, who attended to us and seated us. The environment was lovely. I wasn't expecting such a small crowd during lunch hour. Kudos to the team. The food was nice, especially the nasi goreng pineapple and ikan bakar.
