We didn’t eat green peas and asked for those to be changed to fries, which they did. We ended up with an additional bowl of fries each, which we thought was too generous. This was also the main reason why I contemplated giving them 4 stars instead of 3.
The fries, however, were really bad. It was either over-fried or the oil was overly used – the fries turned out pretty tough and very crispy. A major letdown for how it was done, a 1-star for the fries alone.
The fish was good. We opted for the haddock since dory are typically a thin slice and can be found in most hawker/food centres. It was definitely a thick chunk of fish, though our portions did vary slightly, with my wife getting a bigger portion. In any case, it was fresh and juicy, definitely one of the better ones out there. It did get jelak towards the end of the meal though, probably caused by the flour.
The price point was very acceptable at just $18++ for the haddock and chips.
Definitely one that’s hard to rate since the fries ruined the meal.

Food was not too bad. Here’s what we got!
- Sriracha mayo cauliflower: This was really good, freshly prepared upon order so it’s hot and crisp! But the portion was a little small for sharing.
- Fish and chips, halibut, brown sauce: The fish and chips were actually not bad! But I found the batter still slightly thick for me, as it got a bit 'gelat' halfway through the meal.
- Truffle Mac n cheese: I could taste the light truffle in this. Recommend more for sharing!
Overall, the food was not too bad but not impressive for us. However, I appreciate how everything was hot when we received the food! The service was good too; we had an odd number of 5 pax and the staff helped shift us to more spacious seating after some tables cleared.
