Visited the outlet at Tampines MRT station. The queue was short but service was fast. An aunty asked if I wanted spicy, and I mentioned extra spicy. She smiled; she's a sweet lady. I ordered the mutton kebab, extra spicy. The meat was very flavourful and tasty. The price was a bit steep, though. I will try the chicken kebab next time.

Such a delight to have discovered this gem sitting right under my nose all this while. Housed right beneath the MRT station, it's at a rather inconspicuous corner and only offers takeaway. Let the short queues not fool you, however, as there are usually many orders in progress, both from walk-ins and online ones.
It would be wise to pre-order via WhatsApp, with prepayment via PayNow. The rice consistently sells out and can only be secured via a pre-order, but I found the Arabi variant to be the best dish of the lot, consisting of two wraps, fries, and sauces. The lamb is worth the extra money as well.
The owner is extremely helpful and kind, allowing me to make a pre-order a day in advance for collection at a convenient timing. I will be back very often!

The lamb shawarma was not bad, but I thought it would come with fries inside. Perhaps that's not typical for Syrian shawarma. The upsized portion was actually huge and so long, I got tired chewing before I finished. That's a compliment, by the way.

Damascus Delights Review
I arrived at around 5:30 PM, travelling all the way from the West (aka Boon Lay, because NTU…).
I got the chicken shawarma wrap ($8.50), hummus ($6), and pistachio baklava ($5).
There was a queue, and I waited 48 minutes to get my order. I'd say they're understaffed. Thank you to everyone working hard; I could feel the heat from outside the shop, so inside must definitely be hot!
The chicken shawarma blows all the local ones here out of the water. It's so flavourful and even beats the ones I've tried in the US. The spices make it so fragrant, and the yoghurt sauce and pickles give it a sour tang. I'm not the biggest fan of pickles, but they complemented the chicken well.
The hummus is also spicy, but it is quite good. It has a stronger flavour than store-bought hummus. I couldn't really taste the chickpeas, but it is a good spread on a wrap.
I appreciate that there were two complimentary wraps given with the hummus!
Pistachio baklava was good for me. It's not very sweet, so my mom, who has a sweeter tooth than me, didn't really like it as much. Also, it's my first time eating baklava, but this is really oily. Good though.

It's a good place to have delicious shawarma; the taste is awesome and well-cooked. I recommend trying the wrap and eating it while hot. You can also eat around the mall or MRT area. I didn't try the rice because it was sold out, but maybe I'll come again another day to get it. 10/10 for me!
