Dough Culture Pte Ltd has established itself as Singapore's largest manufacturer of You Tiao (Chinese fried dough sticks), revolutionizing traditional Chinese breakfast culture through modern automation and stringent food safety standards while maintaining HACCP and Halal certifications. Founded by Alex Ong after witnessing elderly women working tirelessly through the night to manually knead, roll, and fry dough at traditional stalls, the company was born from a vision to honor their hard work by developing automated dough-making processes that preserve authentic flavors while ensuring consistent quality and food safety. This innovative approach has transformed a labor-intensive traditional craft into a scalable operation that serves multiple outlets across Singapore, from White Sands Shopping Centre in Pasir Ris to major shopping centers like AMK Hub, Causeway Point, and City Square Mall, making authentic You Tiao accessible to modern consumers seeking traditional breakfast experiences.
The core product offering at Dough Culture centers around their signature You Tiao, prepared using automated systems that maintain the traditional taste and texture that Singaporeans expect from this beloved Chinese breakfast staple. Their manufacturing process adheres to the most stringent food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that each batch meets both HACCP international food safety requirements and local halal certification standards, making their products suitable for Singapore's diverse religious communities. The company's commitment to quality consistency across all retail locations means customers can expect the same authentic You Tiao experience whether they visit their Admiralty Place outlet, Changi City Point location, or any of their other strategically positioned stores throughout Singapore, maintaining the delicate balance of crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior that defines perfect You Tiao.
Dough Culture's success represents a broader trend in Singapore's food industry where traditional recipes meet modern technology to create scalable businesses that preserve cultural heritage while meeting contemporary food safety and accessibility standards. Their expansion to multiple prime retail locations, including major shopping centers and transportation hubs, demonstrates how traditional Chinese breakfast culture can be successfully integrated into Singapore's modern retail landscape. The company's story resonates with Singapore's entrepreneurial spirit, showing how observation of traditional practices can inspire innovative solutions that honor cultural heritage while creating sustainable business models, positioning Dough Culture as both a food manufacturer and a cultural bridge that connects traditional Chinese culinary traditions with modern Singaporean lifestyle demands.

At 6:30 PM, I ordered a Grab food pickup, with an estimated pickup time of 6:37 PM. The Indian lady seemed rushed and had very little patience when speaking to customers and asking for payment. I observed her throwing food onto the table. I strongly believe this is not how you should clear a long queue, nor is it the attitude you should show to customers who are paying you to buy their food. Without us, they wouldn't even be getting paid.
Back to my issue. I told her my Grab number, GF 054T. She told me to wait and then pushed me to the auntie beside her, continuously blaming her for being slow. I saw my order was ready, but she refused to let me take it, making me wait for 15 minutes. In the end, she tried to pass me another order that didn't belong to me. I told her, showed her, and clearly stated that I had given her my number, which she saw, yet she refused to let me take my order and asked me to wait. I don't think this is how these two staff members should be working together or how they should treat their customers. I noticed some customers leaving unhappy after paying.
No apology was given when she kept me waiting and tried to give me the wrong order.

The food is nice, but the staff is not. They have a super bad attitude towards customers. Buying for my breakfast and the staff's face ruined my whole day, especially the Malay lady.
Not sure if the boss checks the reviews, but all the bad comments about the staff and she still survives.

I would give negative stars if I could. The two ladies were extremely rude. They yelled at me when I asked if there were any samosas. And when it was my turn, they refused to serve me and yelled at me to wait. Of course, I walked away without buying anything. A very negative customer experience.

The consistency of the tau suan is inconsistent. I ordered it in the past and it was too watery (I suspect they were running out and added water to sell more), but now it's way too thick and slimy ♂️.

There's a rojak youtiao, but the staff won't sell it and lie to customers, claiming it's a banana. Can't you tell the difference between bananas and youtiao?

Sells Halal and vegan-friendly dough snacks.
Had the Tau Suan (split mung bean dessert with fried dough fritters). At only $2.20, it's really good for the price. The dessert was warm and the fried dough fritters were crispy. Would give 5 stars if the service was as warm as my dessert.

Thanks to the staff (especially the Malay auntie) who informed me about the 20% discount when purchasing 6 items. Initially, I only picked 5 (excluding the tau suan), so I chose one more goreng pisang :) Their tau suan was really good, with a great taste and a generous amount of you tiao slices (unlike the pathetic quantity I received from a food court, which I could literally count on six fingers).

The fritters are good. The butterfly fritter is crispy, as is the green bean ball. There are many selections to choose from. Good taste and reasonable prices.

Located near the entrance of Causeway Point, it's a busy place during rush hours. Staff are friendly. Prices are expensive on certain items which are cheaper at hawker stalls.
