Flipper's Singapore is a MUIS halal-certified Japanese soufflé pancake specialist with locations at Takashimaya Shopping Centre Orchard Road (#B1-56), Bugis Junction (#01-97), and Westgate (#01-42), bringing the authentic Japanese pancake experience to Singapore's Muslim community while maintaining the signature wobbly, cloud-like texture that made the brand famous since its founding in Japan in 2014. Each location features open glass kitchens that allow customers to witness the delicate preparation process, while imported Japanese ingredients including Kanagawa Hinata eggs, Hokkaido Kitahonami wheat flour, and premium milk ensure authentic flavors and textures.
Their signature menu centers around the acclaimed Kiseki pancakes served in stacks of three with distinctive soufflé-like wobble, including Plain ($16.80), Matcha Azuki ($20.80), Hazelnut Chocolate ($21.80), Millennial Strawberry ($20.80), and Fresh Fruits ($21.80), all featuring house-made maple-butter cream and requiring two forks for the signature dining experience due to their delicate texture. Beyond sweet offerings, they provide savory options like Benedict Pancake ($21.80), fresh salads ranging from avocado salmon to fruit varieties, plus premium beverages including coffee from $5.50 and specialty teas that complement their pancake experience.
Operating with extended hours (daily 11:30 AM-10 PM at Bugis, varied hours at other locations) and strategic mall placements that serve both residents and tourists, Flipper's has successfully adapted their premium Japanese concept to Singapore's diverse dining landscape. While pricing reflects their premium positioning, their halal certification makes authentic Japanese soufflé pancakes accessible to Muslim families and dessert enthusiasts seeking genuine Japanese culinary experiences, establishing them as an essential destination for special occasions and those exploring the intersection of Japanese culinary artistry with Singapore's multicultural halal dining scene.

We had dinner here. The food was mediocre. We felt rushed too, as it was almost 9pm and the waitstaff were busy cleaning up and asking us to make payment, thus creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Came to bring my AirPod Pro for servicing and decided to try this cafe. The service is good, and the serving time for the Soufflé Pancake is between 20-30 minutes, which is worth the wait. The pancake is soft and fluffy; eat it while it’s hot.
Noticed they are also selling treasure water “财宝”... interesting.
The place can get crowded during dining hours.

I first visited on 14 June for lunch with an ex-colleague, Jenny, and returned on Thursday, 31 July for dinner with an old neighbour, Meiying. The prices are on the higher side, but the food is tasty — especially the mentaiko spaghetti, which keeps me coming back! Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. Don’t miss the pistachio dessert — it was perfect! I’ll definitely return whenever I crave pancakes.

Frequent customer here, but recently, there's been a menu change. Probably due to inflation or cost-cutting, my favorite truffle fries, which used to feature three delicious sauces (cheese, truffle, and some other yellow sauce, possibly honey mustard), are now downsized to just one. The element that made the fries so good is now gone.
Some of the fries were also cold, most likely from an old batch.
The pancakes are still good though

The omurice and souffle are soooo good! Super fluffy and creamy! Paired with caramelised banana and milky ice cream, it's just simply amazing! And the omurice tomato flavour hits strong, definitely one of the best omurice I've tried!

Ordered the pistachio soufflé pancakes, which were really jiggly. The pistachio flavour was present but not strong. I would have preferred the pancakes without berry jam in between; I'm not sure if it was a default. The matcha affogato was alright, with a very strong milky taste from the soft serve. The matcha itself was not bitter.
The rose lychee tea, unfortunately served in a disposable plastic cup instead of a proper dine-in acrylic cup (I'm guessing due to a lack of manpower for dishes), was my favourite item. It reminded me of a nostalgic drink I had at another place that closed down many years ago.
Service-wise, a young man was holding the fort. He was trying his best to clear tables, seat new customers as there was a queue, and serve. There was a female server who appeared to be totally clueless and kept bringing dishes to try and serve at several tables, only to bring them back because they were wrong. She would then kind of vanish every now and then. I reckon she is new on the job. Perhaps she could help the young man clear tables for a faster turnover, as he is severely overworked. I would like to compliment the young man for trying his best!
