I was craving "Siomay Bandung" and decided to give this stall a try based on the picture they displayed. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the photo or what I expected. The biggest disappointment was the peanut sauce—it was completely dry, lacking the rich, savory flavor you'd usually get from authentic siomay. The texture of the siomay was also far from ideal. Instead of the familiar fish cake taste, it was overwhelmed by tapioca starch. This definitely doesn't deserve to be called Siomay Bandung. See my photo for the difference.

Giving it 5 stars as the main courses were so delicious. The ikan bakar is nicely done with the kicap manis sauce. The ayam penyet is soft and tasty. Thank you for serving us different sambals as requested. We also ordered the original martabak in advance, but the filling was still a bit bland.

I was walking around 313@somerset when I saw this little shop in the basement. I was quite excited to see they were selling martabak (basically the Indonesian version of pancake or Min Jiang Kueh, but more decadent and unhealthy). My usual go-to for martabak is Pancake Boss at Bugis, so I decided to give this one a try. I ordered the original and topped up $4 for Wijsman butter. The total damage was $19.90, which is a bit on the pricey side compared to Pancake Boss. The martabak can easily feed 2-3 people (it's better to share due to the high calories). The martabak was delicious, sweet, and a little salty from the cheese. They use good quality chocolate rice, which is much better than the one used by Pancake Boss. It's nice to see more martabak shops in SG (there's another one in ION Orchard, but I haven't tried it). Overall, I highly recommend this shop for your martabak fix.

Served by a really nice lady who double-checked my order as I got the bakso meatballs without vermicelli. They were really huge, juicy, and round, which I gobbled down and forgot to take photos. I would really love to try the fish dumplings, which were not available when I visited. There's a wide variety of pancake flavours, many of which are tantalisingly unique combinations.

Gading Street Food was formerly Warung Surabaya, located inside Lucky Plaza. They have rebranded from local East Javanese food, like fried chicken and sayur asam, to a new, fresh-looking, simple, minimalist food stall concept. They now sell nasi ayam geprek, nasi gudeg, nasi uduk, and martabak manis with disposable packaging. Their nasi ayam geprek was nice, complete with stir-fried long beans, shredded omelette, and spicy sambal. However, for the nasi gudeg, please do not expect the Central Javanese type. It was also something new for me, as I'm used to eating preserved young jackfruit (gudeg) from Central or East Java. It might be more akin to West Javanese food, given they also sell nasi liwet. When you visit this place, consider it a new adventure and experience. It's a great spot for fusion Indonesian food, with generous portions and good prices. The martabak manis was nice. The good thing is we could request it not too sweet, as our preferences have changed. The staff are attentive and friendly. They actively seek suggestions and feedback from customers.

Tucked away in the bustling Lucky Plaza, Gading Street Food is a great place to find Indonesian food. The food is delicious! Don't skip their "martabak manis" (Indonesian min chiang kueh). It's also available via online delivery.
