Heavenly Wang stands as a distinguished halal-certified Chinese restaurant chain that beautifully bridges Singapore culinary heritage with contemporary dining expectations, tracing its remarkable history back to 1953 when Wang Jiao was first established along the iconic Bugis Street. This heritage brand has evolved from humble beginnings serving local-styled breakfast favorites to become a comprehensive dining destination that celebrates traditional Singaporean and Chinese cuisine while maintaining strict halal certification across all locations.
The restaurant name Wang Jiao, meaning Prosperous Corner in Chinese, reflects the brand foundational mission of creating gathering spaces where communities can enjoy authentic flavors and meaningful conversations. This philosophy continues today through multiple strategically located outlets including Changi Airport Terminal 3 #01-25, Waterway Point at 83 Punggol Central #B1-44, KK Women and Children Hospital at 100 Bukit Timah Road #01-33a, Plaza Singapura, Orchard Gateway, and various hospital locations throughout Singapore.
What sets Heavenly Wang apart in Singapore competitive dining landscape is their exceptional commitment to traditional breakfast culture, featuring signature toast made with brown sliced bread toasted over authentic piping hot grills and served with their proprietary Heavenly Wang Signature Kaya spread. The kaya, prepared using traditional recipes and premium ingredients, delivers the authentic flavors that have made this spread a beloved part of Singapore breakfast tradition for generations.
The restaurant takes particular pride in their soft-boiled eggs, which were voted Best Eggs by The Sunday Times, demonstrating their dedication to sourcing quality ingredients and maintaining consistent preparation standards. These perfectly cooked eggs, with their silky whites and golden yolks, represent the attention to detail that defines the Heavenly Wang dining experience.
Beyond breakfast specialties, the menu showcases an impressive array of heritage noodle staples including authentic Laksa with its rich, aromatic coconut-based broth, traditional Mee Siam featuring rice vermicelli in tangy tamarind gravy, and classic Mee Rebus with its thick, flavorful potato-based sauce. Each noodle dish is prepared using traditional techniques while incorporating halal-certified ingredients to ensure accessibility for Muslim diners.
The comfort food offerings extend to nutritious congee cooked in rich chicken stock base with minced chicken and braised peanuts, providing warming, easily digestible options perfect for any time of day. Their signature chicken rice features tender, succulent chicken served with perfectly seasoned rice and complemented by simmered cabbage that adds freshness and texture to the complete meal.
The restaurant ambiance reflects their commitment to creating nostalgic dining experiences, featuring trademark biscuit walls and carefully curated design elements that evoke the charm of traditional kopitiams while providing modern comfort and convenience. This thoughtful atmosphere design makes every visit feel like a journey through Singapore culinary history.
Modern convenience is prioritized through comprehensive delivery partnerships with GrabFood, Deliveroo, and Foodpanda, allowing customers to enjoy authentic Heavenly Wang dishes from the comfort of their homes or offices. The efficient delivery system ensures dishes arrive hot and fresh, maintaining the same quality standards as dine-in experiences.
The hospital locations demonstrate Heavenly Wang community-focused approach, providing comfort food options for patients, families, and medical staff who need convenient, nutritious, and culturally familiar meals during challenging times. These specialized locations maintain full menu offerings while adapting service styles to healthcare environments.
Whether you are seeking authentic Singapore breakfast traditions, exploring heritage noodle dishes, or looking for halal-certified Chinese cuisine that honors both tradition and modern dietary requirements, Heavenly Wang offers a comprehensive dining experience that celebrates the rich tapestry of Singapore multicultural food heritage while ensuring every guest feels welcomed and satisfied.

Pretty full on a Sunday at 10 AM. The prata is $5.50, which is a bit expensive. The taste is okay. The prata is cooked by oven.
Service is rather slow. It's not like other places such as Heavenly Wang or Ya Kun, which have a systematic, mass-production-line approach.

I ordered the Chicken Peanut Congee Set at 10:41 am on a Thursday morning. I asked if the Mee Tai Mak Dry Noodles were ready, and the staff claimed they were sold out. So, I proceeded to purchase the congee, which I expected to be thick (there's a difference between porridge and congee, by the way). When I received my "congee," I saw the staff add hot water because it wasn't sufficient to fill it to 3/4. They then dipped the fried dough in the hot water, making it soggy. It was disgusting, and I spent $6.20 for this unappetizing meal. It's not my first time experiencing bad service and long waiting times.
Do not come to this brunch; the service is horrible, and the meal is disgusting. Come at your own risk.

5 stars for the tea, coffee, ayam bakar, and ayam lemak. The rice is rich and aromatic, the chicken is tender, and the sauce is tasty. The ikan bilis on the side is crunchy and light, not oily.
4 stars for the mee siam and mee rebus. The highlight of the mee rebus dish was the bergedil, while the highlight of the mee siam was the freshness of the prawns.
Prices have been raised. The new sets are expensive, with cake that always seems to be dry and inedible. The standard of coffee and tea has dropped tremendously; they are very diluted. The coffee bun is hit or miss, sometimes toasted nicely while other times barely warmed up.

Went to Heavenly Wang on a public holiday. It looked like they were handling a lot of delivery orders, but only three walk-in customers were in the queue—I was number two. The staff taking orders was very impatient. I just wanted to confirm if the laksa came with yellow noodles, but he kept cutting me off, repeatedly asking “Side dish? Side dish? Side dish?” without actually answering my question. It felt like he just wanted to rush through the order and not listen.
There were two menus, and I needed to order from both, including a few sets. However, there was no time to decide properly due to the pressure. After ordering, drinks were ready in 10-15 minutes, but no one called out the numbers; they were just left there. Food orders were called out, though, so their system is inconsistent.
The food tastes good, but the staff definitely need more training. Compared to BreadTalk, this place lacks friendliness and a clear process. Also, my laksa didn’t come with yellow noodles in the end—I wish they had just answered my question properly. However, what was most irritating was the couple of flies hovering around.

This spot, situated near the hometeamNS building, is ideal for a classic coffee and hangout experience. However, the coffee, dispensed by a machine, lacks the richness of traditionally handcrafted brews and tends to be on the diluted side. Service varies; some staff members are more experienced and efficient than others. Despite placing an order without butter, our request was acknowledged but not fulfilled, as the item was ultimately still served with butter. Fortunately, the diverse food options and decent quality redeem the overall experience.

I have milk tea with less sugar every Wednesday after sending my son for his piano lesson. This is the best tea I have drunk so far, and I will recommend this place to everyone.
Update: I had my milk tea again today (in fact, on every Wednesday). The standard was still the same. I think the good tea leaves are the main reason why the tea is so fragrant. You cannot get this taste elsewhere.
I'm really enjoying coming to Heavenly Wang as I feel so relaxed and welcomed by the staff. Thanks.

Not busy at all on a weekday morning. Clean and spacious. One of the few places that does super thin toast for their kaya toast – it's almost melt-in-your-mouth! The drinks were a bit too sweet, though.

5-Star: Service: Been here thrice, and each time, the service attitude has been consistently 5-Stars.
5-Star: Unsure why the coffee here tastes better, despite using the same machine as KoFu? Did they add certain flavours? Their coffee has an aroma that tastes better than Ya Kun (which is very high level).
4-Star: Somemore Hazelnut Toast: Love their exotic toast menu. Only tried two so far.
3-Star: Ocean Catch: Unsure of the ingredients used, but it doesn't have enough umami taste for me to feel satisfied. Comes with a nicely cracked soft-boiled egg though.
4.5-Star: Prata with Curry Chicken + $1 Chill Egg: Absolutely love it. Plus, the prata is fluffy and crispy, absolutely different from the usual prata from other prata shops.

I would have rated this higher a long time ago, but after visiting this branch several times, I feel the quality has dropped. I don't come here mainly for the food, mostly just to buy the kopi/teh and take it away. Today, I went and ordered the ice volcano kopi as usual. When I got my cup, it felt lighter than usual. So, I opened the cap and checked it, but it looked filled to the brim with some foam on top (like usual). I didn't think too much of it and left. After drinking it for a while, I really noticed that the cup was much lighter than usual. That was when I realized that actually around a quarter of my cup was filled with just foam, which is not normal. Typically, I would get the whole cup filled with kopi with a small layer of foam on top. So, I really felt it was not worth its price anymore. Moreover, the kopi tastes much more bitter than it did when I first bought the iced volcano kopi. I didn't even ask for less sugar or less milk. Overall, I feel the quality has dropped and the taste is not consistent.
UPDATE: Bumping my review to 4 stars. I suppose my last experience was just a special case. Their kopi is very nice most of the times. Would give a 5-star if the kopi taste were more consistent.

Wah, Heavenly Wang is really shiok lah! The Laksa is damn power: the broth is thick, the noodles are just nice, and that chili sambal? Sibeh shiok until I wanna 'accidentally' take an extra scoop. Service is damn steady, even with the crowd, and the place is clean clean. Will confirm come back again… with a bigger spoon for the sambal! ❤️
