Ichikokudo Hokkaido Ramen stands as Singapore's premier halal-certified Japanese ramen destination, bringing authentic Hokkaido-style ramen through meticulous preparation and premium ingredients. The restaurant's signature approach involves slowly simmering chicken bones for hours to create rich, flavorful broths enhanced with bonito, mackerel, and 100% Hokkaido kelp for authentic umami depth.
The menu showcases diverse ramen varieties including the classic Ichikokudo Ramen with its umami-rich soy sauce broth, the fiery Jigoku Ramen featuring bold miso-based spice, and seasonal specialties like Black Garlic Ramen. All noodles are crafted exclusively from a special blend of Hokkaido wheat, while sides like Japanese Garlic Karaage, gyoza, and donburi rice bowls complement the ramen experience.
With locations at 313@Somerset, Hillion Mall, and Suntec City, Ichikokudo has established itself as the go-to destination for authentic Japanese ramen that accommodates Muslim diners without compromising traditional flavors. The restaurant's commitment to using only chicken-based broths while maintaining authentic Japanese preparation methods makes it uniquely positioned in Singapore's ramen landscape.

The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. When we asked for assistance as we were about to place our orders, the staff simply gave us the menu and told us to scan our orders before leaving. We asked how to order as their app was very confusing, and she just said to tick it. We further asked why the food we wanted wasn't available for selection, even though we saw it on their menu outside. She said the promotion was over.
To our dismay, we left the shop and nobody seemed to care.
Kindly improve your online app; it's not user-friendly. Train your staff properly in customer service and hospitality.

I wanted a miso-based and spicy one. The closest match was the spicy miso char siew butter corn. I didn't realize it didn't come with an onsen egg. It tasted too 'jialak' (overpowering/intense). I still prefer Ajisen Ramen.

Went there with colleagues for lunch. It was a pity that the QR code wasn't working to place orders, so we had to go to the counter one by one to order and pay first. There weren't many people at 12:45 pm. The lady who took our orders seemed very distracted. Each of us ordered the lunch set and confirmed with her. She kept saying yes, but she keyed in everything as à la carte. We had to remind them a few times to serve us drinks for the lunch set. We asked for less salt, as it was an option on the digital menu, but verbally, she couldn't process it. She also couldn't understand when we wanted to add bamboo shoots. Due to her errors, my colleague also paid more. The soup was too salty. Finally, this restaurant is still using plastic straws. Stop using plastic straws; it's 2025.

I ordered a bowl of ramen. Within 5 minutes, the bowl was emptied. I was shocked at how quickly my taste buds reacted to the deliciousness of the ramen. I tried to slow down, but I failed. It also helped that the service was quick and efficient. Furthermore, the staff served us with a pleasant smile. The whole experience took 15 minutes. In and out of the place, just like that. Not enough time to savour it, I will definitely be back.

The portion of the ramen is generous for the price. We ordered the family set. The clear shoyu broth is definitely boiled long enough to taste that silken soup soaking the ramen and the tender chashu slices. The hard-boiled egg has that onsen yolk. The vinegar is the clear version, which does not irritate the throat, so that helps when you dip the ramen into it. The family set comes with gyoza and chicken karaage, both of which are done well. The gyoza skin is not hard nor chewy; the battered chicken pieces have lots of crunch. An overall pleasant dining experience.

Awesome ramen for the price. I love the broth, and the thin noodles are very good too. Service was pretty good, and the ambience is great as well. We only spent $38 to feed 2 adults and 3 kids. Would definitely come again.

The server was very nice and provided good service. The ramen was so good, with a thick broth and a generous amount of toppings. The price is justified for halal ramen. A friend recommended this place because she knew I don't like broth made from pork.

Great spot for a comforting bowl of ramen in Orchard! 🍜 I tried the Ichikokudo Ramen Original, and the soy sauce chicken broth was rich but not too salty—just the right balance of flavor. The chicken chashu was tender, the marinated egg perfectly runny, and the toppings like bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms added great texture.
Also ordered the grilled chicken gyoza, which had a crispy golden crust and juicy filling—super satisfying! Loved that they offer no service charge, making it great value for quality Japanese food.
The service was quick, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
