Lee Wee & Brothers has evolved from a single hawker stall in 2000 into one of Singapore's most recognizable halal-certified local food brands, maintaining seven halal-certified outlets alongside comprehensive catering services. This culinary institution has become synonymous with authentic Singaporean flavors, particularly their signature otah and nasi lemak preparations that utilize fresh ingredients and family recipes passed down through generations. The brand's success represents the successful modernization of traditional hawker culture, bringing beloved local dishes from street-side stalls to premium shopping mall locations while maintaining the authenticity and halal certification that made them a household name across Singapore's diverse communities.
The restaurant's menu centers around iconic Singaporean dishes, with their flavourful Nasi Lemak and traditional Otah serving as flagship offerings that showcase the depth of local culinary heritage. The Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Wing represents their most popular combination, featuring crispy, juicy chicken paired with fragrant coconut rice and house-made spicy sambal that delivers the complex flavor profiles Singaporeans expect from authentic preparations. Their Otah selection demonstrates remarkable variety, offering Original Fish Otah, Squid Otah, Prawn Otah, and Fish Roe Otah variations that cater to different taste preferences while maintaining the traditional steamed preparation methods that define quality otah across Southeast Asia.
Strategic locations at premier shopping destinations including ION Orchard, JEM, NEX Mall, and Tampines Mall have positioned Lee Wee & Brothers as an accessible option for both tourists seeking authentic local cuisine and residents craving familiar comfort foods. The brand's presence in high-traffic retail environments demonstrates the viability of traditional hawker concepts in modern commercial settings, while their comprehensive catering services extend their reach to corporate events and private functions. As a MUIS halal-certified establishment with annual certification renewals, Lee Wee & Brothers maintains strict adherence to Islamic dietary guidelines while serving as an ambassador for Singaporean cuisine, proving that local food traditions can achieve commercial success while preserving cultural authenticity and religious compliance.

I just bought a nasi lemak meal, otak, and ikan bilis from Nex. When I reached home, I realized the fish cake was missing! I feel very disappointed. This is my first time encountering such an issue with this store.

This is my usual brand for otah, and the quality is generally consistent. However, it might be a little too spicy on some days. The otah seemed to have shrunk quite a bit from the few sticks I bought at the Nex outlet a few days ago. They could be more generous with the ingredients, especially considering it's 90 cents per stick. Despite this, it still tastes very good on a soft and fluffy piece of white sandwich bread.

I have been buying chicken wings and otahs from this outlet since this shopping mall opened. Recently, they changed their staff. A short-haired Chinese lady had a very bad attitude. I told her I wanted two otahs and two 3-joint wings. She replied, 'Here, all is otah, what do you want?' Maybe she's new, but all the other staff know it's the original flavour. She could have been nicer and friendlier, asking me 'Original flavour, is it?' instead of saying 'Here, all is otah' with a grumpy face. I saw another bad review here, so it seems I'm not the only one unhappy about her. If she's not happy to work here, then find another job; don't make customers unhappy here.

Terima kasih 🙏🏻 thank you to the kakak who took my order and cash payment 😊 smooth first experience
Thank you to the kakak who took my order and cash payment. It was a smooth first experience trying this stall just outside of NTUC supermarket.
I think I came at the right time as there was little to no queue at most of the stalls in the vicinity. Perhaps another 15 minutes and things will change, haha.
Ordered two pieces of fish otah for SGD 3.40 total. The taste was impeccable for a light teabreak snack.
Perhaps increasing the portion of otah meat by five percent or reducing the price by ten cents would lead to slightly more favourable reviews and expectations, which in turn will lead to more business from customers who are better informed than I. All the best and hope this franchise will do well in the near future!

I love the chicken cutlet nasi lemak; the rice is so fragrant. I always ask for additional chilli and add the banana leaf otah for a perfect meal.

Had takeaway curry rice, original otak, 1 Fuze tea, lemon.
As usual, the curry has the Lee Wee Mama flavour. Always a favourite, Mama's all the best. The original otak is shiok. The Fuze lemon complements the curry. It's a good experience. Will come back again.

Ang Lay Kheng ordered curry chicken with rice. The curry is full of motherly flavour. Not too spicy. Like home cooking, it has a nostalgic feeling. Mummy, I am home.
Had original fish otak. It's the best otak I have ever had.
Great experience. Will tak pok again.
I gave a 5.5 rating for the unforgettable curry chicken. I, Ang Lay Kheng. I had takeaway curry chicken, which brought back nostalgic memories of my childhood and my mother's cooking. The spices in the curry chicken were expertly blended, just like mother used to make. The curry chicken is akin to the Lee Wee Mama curry. It feels like a warm hug from a loving mother figure, evoking nostalgia and warmth. The fish otah (wrapped in banana leaves) was also delicious, reminiscent of kampong days (traditional village days). The dish was so popular that it sold out quickly! Justin, my cooking group member, has been a loyal fan of Lee Wee Brother's Otak for 20 years - a true royal fan! Staff at Lee Wee Brothers, Nex, were patient and accommodating. My review is a heartfelt tribute to the restaurant and its dishes, which clearly left a lasting impression on me. I'm sure Lee Wee Brothers appreciates the kind words and will continue to serve mouthwatering dishes that bring joy to their customers! Location: 23 Serangoon Central, #03-K11 NEX, Singapore 556083
