Mr Bean stands as Singapore's leading soy-based food and beverage retail chain, established in 1989 with a mission to reconnect life's simple pleasures through fulfilling and inviting food experiences. Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.

The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.

Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.

Received a badly burned pancake when using discount vouchers for payment. I'm not sure if it's a practice to give low-quality pancakes when using discount vouchers.

Remember to ensure the staff adds sauce to your rice bowl. I purchased from them on two occasions, and neither came with sauce. The rice bowl was very dry and significantly less palatable compared to other outlets. I returned to request the addition of sauce, but it still didn't match the taste I expected from another outlet.

The meatball rice bowl portion is so little, only about 1/3 of the bowl size, with 4 scoops and the rice is almost finished. The portion is totally different than other branches. I purchased here twice and received very little portion, especially the rice, which is suitable for a child but not an adult. This branch is really maximizing profits. I will not recommend purchasing any rice bowl related products from this branch.

I came by this outlet and ordered pancakes and soya milk. The server managed to get my order, entered it into the cashier system, and I paid. In the past, I've ordered from this outlet before, and my order was wrong. But since I was already somewhere else and the outlet had probably closed, I didn't pursue the matter. However, this time, I suspected the same thing would happen again. True enough, I observed her closely as she was preparing my pancakes very quickly. And indeed, she took the wrong pancake. I pointed it out, and she just shrugged it off and took the correct order. It was only a minute ago she keyed the correct order into the system, and the next minute she could forget and mistake the order? Also, the pancakes seemed cold and "old and hard." I can't help but wonder if she was trying to clear old stock but deliberately gave out the wrong order? Plus, it wasn't the first time. I'm not going to visit Mr Bean anymore; I Googled other outlets, and it seems most of them have terrible service. I'd rather buy elsewhere.

Tried the teriyaki hawaiian soy patty wuth free soy milk $5.50. environmentally friendly packaging.

Tried the teriyaki Hawaiian soy patty with free soy milk for $5.50. Environmentally friendly packaging. Very nice burger; heating up the bun and patty made them delicious. Very juicy pineapple. Hope they can sell it at $4.30 without the drink instead, so I can have two different burgers.

Order a takeout from grab. Didn't ask about sugar % of the soybean milk of the set; didn't notify me

Ordered takeout via Grab. I wasn't asked about the sugar percentage for the soybean milk in the set, and I wasn't notified that they had run out of meatballs. The overall experience could be improved. The porridge was good, though.
