Mr Bean stands as Singapore's leading soy-based food and beverage retail chain, established in 1989 with a mission to reconnect life's simple pleasures through fulfilling and inviting food experiences. Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.
The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.
Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.
Came here and service was bad with staff attitude. I would suggest to walk abit more to hougang mall
The service here was bad, with the staff having a poor attitude. I would suggest walking a bit further to the Mr. Bean at Hougang Mall, where you'll likely experience better service compared to here. I forgot to leave a review last week.

One of the aunties was rude and impatient. I don't buy from Mr Bean often and am not aware of the ordering procedure and customisations. This auntie was also rude to a customer before me when they did not understand the order and prepared the wrong item.

Upon redeeming the Mr Bean 28 cents today, the staff auntie wearing specs was super rude. Serving 10 customers took 2 hours. I didn't know there was a queue number to be taken. I came early to queue, but the staff never mentioned anything, then I had to re-queue again. Terrible service I wanted to buy pancakes, but they only had others except chocolate. What were they doing all morning? I wanted to buy chocolate for the kids, but they said they didn't have it and didn't bother to make it either.

The worst experience. I've been a few times and the service is always super slow. It also made no sense that the ice cream machine was apparently not working, but there was no sign indicating it. I had to queue for 10 minutes then found out by word of mouth from a staff member. A simple sign would have reduced unnecessary queuing and inconvenience. Covid really just shows the inadequacies and the low service standard of F&B in Singapore.

The short auntie who wears glasses is polite and quite accommodating every time. I'm not sure why some people say she is rude. She also takes the time to explain her things.

There are two friendly Singaporean Chinese aunties working here. One is short and quite plump, while the other is skinny. The short and plump auntie is extremely enthusiastic in promoting the biscuit goods, pancakes, and drinks. I initially thought they received a commission from their boss if customers made purchases, but she mentioned they don't get any. This left me wondering where she finds the motivation to be so enthusiastic in promoting the Mr Bean goods and pastries, especially since her boss might not even be aware of her exceptional effort. Her working attitude truly impressed me. If she maintains such a good attitude, I'm certain the food I buy from this outlet is probably the best, as she will likely take great care in preparing it.

I ordered a soya milk with boba pearls, and it tastes okay, but sometimes the pearls are stuck together. It still tastes good though. I'm not sure why others are complaining about the auntie; I felt she was friendly, but maybe it's different people 🤷♀️.
