Mr Bean stands as Singapore's leading soy-based food and beverage retail chain, established in 1989 with a mission to reconnect life's simple pleasures through fulfilling and inviting food experiences. Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.
The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.
Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.

My son ordered 2 Set C beancurd with soy milk plus red bean pancake for $3.80. The staff said adding soy milk would incur a $0.20 upcharge, which was never required before. The worst part is that no soy milk was added at all when we brought it home. It only contained syrup. We are angry and felt cheated. He bought this around 1 PM from AMK Hub and paid a total of $8.00. No receipt was given to him.
On 3 Aug 2024, the same thing happened. He ordered Set 3 beancurd with soy milk, no sugar. In the end, the beancurd only had plain water. I had repeated my order three times. Disappointed!

Please check your order before leaving the store. I ordered the spicy chicken mayo pancake, but instead, I was given a cheese pancake. It was quite disorganised. I tried calling the outlet, but the number was not valid. I just lost $1.70.

I ordered one box of bean curd. The lady who served me had a very rude attitude. She probably didn't hear correctly, but she keyed in three boxes and accused me of not saying it properly. I stared at her until she walked to prepare my order. Then she threw the order to another male colleague to pass to me. What kind of service is this?

This stall should really consider changing its offerings. The food and prices are quite disappointing. The spicy porridge, in particular, has a very strange combination. It's quite nonsensical.

Every time a new product is released, starting from the Orh Nee, then followed by Pandan and Gula Melaka flavours, I try to queue for it, but it's always sold out. If this launch is in conjunction with the National Day promotion, shouldn't there be more stock available to meet the demand? So disappointed.

We decided to get the soya ice cream, which was already quite rare as many Mr Bean outlets no longer sell ice cream. The ice cream itself was a nice, generous serving for $2.40! The staff were very fast and friendly as well. We'd definitely be back
