Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.

The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.

Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.

I was there this morning to buy pancakes and a drink. I gave the crew $50.40. I was told off that they were not accepting big notes in the morning. I explained that I didn't know and had just withdrawn my money from the ATM. He kept repeating that they weren't accepting big notes in the morning. What kind of attitude is that? I also work in the same industry. He didn't even suggest any other mode of payment, so I just walked away without buying anything.

I have to wonder what is going on with this kiosk. The first time I went to buy a grass jelly drink around noon, it wasn't made yet, so I waited and got a half-warm drink. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they had just opened and were very nice about it. Today, I went at 2:30 pm and asked for a grass jelly drink, only to be told there was just the drink - no grass jelly inside! I will give them one last chance next week, solely because I love Mr. Bean's grass jelly.

Today evening, I bought three bowls of beancurd from the shop. I asked them to put 50% sugar, but there was no sugar at all. It was horrible, and I wasted my $9.90.

Went for the first time, but the beancurd wasn't ready at 11:30 am, so I left. A few days later, on my second visit around 12 pm, they had no eggs, meaning egg-related items were unavailable. Please note that porridge is not available at this branch. On my third visit on 15/2 at 6:30 pm, the beancurd still wasn't ready and needed another 15 minutes. I'm not going to waste my time visiting again! Mr. Bean Management, please assist your employees with this issue. Customers will stop visiting if this continues.

Newly opened Mr Bean in Thomson Plaza, replacing Twelve Cupcakes. This was their first day of operations on 01 Jan 2023. On 02 Jan 2023, which was a public holiday off in lieu, only one person was manning the kiosk. Service was great, and the cashier was helpful and friendly. I bought a grass jelly soya milk and kaya cheese pancake (set 05) for S$4.5, payable by cash only. Unfortunately, this outlet doesn't have ice cream due to space constraints. The kaya cheese pancake I had was filled adequately. The grass jelly soya milk with 25% sugar wasn't very sweet; I think 50% sugar would be better. I will patronize this outlet again due to the good service.

Had the hazelnut pancake; the filling is chocolatey with crunchy bits. Paired it with no-sugar black soymilk – a good combo for some energy before a workout.
