The halal version of Jumbo at Wisma unfortunately fell short of expectations. We attended a company event on the second floor, but the experience was disappointing from the start. The venue had a noticeable sewage smell, which made the atmosphere quite unpleasant for dining. Service was another weak point. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. For example, when we asked for drinks, the request was acknowledged but then forgotten as they went to attend another table instead. During the soup course, a few bowls were served at our table before the servers moved on to other tables, leaving some of our colleagues waiting without their portion. Overall, the service felt "blur" and lacked the attentiveness expected at a banquet-style setting. It seemed the team wasn’t very familiar with Chinese banquet etiquette, which made the whole experience feel uncoordinated. On the positive side, the food quality itself was in line with the usual Jumbo standard. Most dishes were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. The standout was the mocha fried chicken, which was flavorful and well-prepared—definitely the highlight of the meal. In short, while the food was acceptable, the unpleasant environment and subpar service made the overall dining experience underwhelming. With improvements in service training and venue maintenance, this location could deliver a much better experience.
