Rude Service, Unsafe for Kids, and Terrible Coffee: A Disappointing Experience at Old Town White Coffee
We visited Old Town White Coffee for lunch during a shopping break and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we were rudely pointed to a seat without any proper greeting. I requested to sit further inside the restaurant to avoid blocking the walkway with our baby stroller, but the waitress, Stella, curtly denied the request, even though there were only two small groups dining at the time with plenty of seats available.
I explained my concern about obstructing the pathway, hoping for a more considerate arrangement. Instead, she pointed us to a table near the entrance, right along the traffic path used by staff, and insisted it wouldn’t be an issue.
Stella’s attitude continued to be unwelcoming. She told us to “scan to order” in a very unpleasant tone and walked away before we could even ask for coffee recommendations. She remained idle at the counter afterward and offered no assistance.
Worse still, during our meal, she bumped into our baby’s pram twice while our child was sleeping, without so much as an apology or even a glance to check if everything was okay. It was clear there was zero regard for customer comfort or basic courtesy.
To top it off, the coffee was awful. Ironically, their instant mix would’ve been better than what we were served. The so-called fresh brew had thick condensed milk solids at the bottom, something you’d expect from old or poorly stored milk.
Frankly, I don’t understand how service charges are justified when this is the level of service provided. With so many other restaurants in the mall offering better food and far better hospitality, I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

It's a late review. I just wanted to highlight the service from the crew outside. They were very unfriendly and simply didn't respond when you said "Thank you". Very rude. They just put the drinks and food down and walked away, with no customer service at all. We wanted to pack the chicken wings and fries as we couldn't finish them, so we asked if they could pack for us. She responded, "I'll pass you the bag..!!!!" So rude!! However, the food was good. Won't be dining here again.

Pretty average food at restaurant prices. The toast was nice. My favourite chicken hor fun is still good, but the kway teow was a bit soggy. The prawn mee has a nice spice to it – perhaps they could use real fresh prawns instead of crystal prawns, since this is prawn mee?

Came after the lunch peak. The coffee was alright, but the iced teh tarik was horrible. There was no option for zero sugar, and the least sweet option tasted diabetic. To me, the tea tasted comparable to powdered tea. My parents suggested it was perhaps made with oversteeped tea that has been diluted. Regardless, this is abysmal from a place that charges $3.70 for iced teh tarik.
