My friend and I had the standard ordinary burger set with onion rings each. As the name suggests, it was a really basic burger. The patty was thin and tasted okay. However, the bun was like those cheap fish burger buns you get at coffee shops. The only plus was that there was no premium for choosing onion rings. The place was dark and had a shaky aisle table. Since others were already seated at that aisle, we sat at the sides, which were not too clean. Oh well, I'm unlikely to revisit as I'd rate the value way below par for burgers.

This outlet is located at B1 of City Square Mall. It's a Halal-certified outlet. We tried its buttermilk crispy chicken burger and fish fillet burger.
Food: The meal comes with a burger, fries/onion rings, and a drink (canned drinks or a welcome option, i.e., mineral water). The chicken patty in the burger was quite oily. The burger also had a rather sweet taste, perhaps due to one of the sauces, but the sweetness had overpowered all other flavours. Portion-wise, the burger was a bit small, and I felt a little hungry even after having it.
Fries were very poorly fried, while the onion rings were crispy.
Seating space: They have seating space with almost no privacy, as there are no privacy walls or glass above waist height. Since it's not on the side but in the middle of the alley, you feel like you're sitting in the open, and everyone walking by is breaching your privacy.
Cost: Two meals (9.3 each) and a fish fillet burger cost us 24.8, which is quite economical.
Overall, I didn't like the food much. Although, if the burger wasn't that sweet and the fries were crispier, I may have given them another star.

Is this healthier than McDonald's? Probably. Is it really good? I think it's just okay. The ingredients are fresh and good for anyone looking for a slightly healthier version of a burger and fries. Nothing to shout about though. I wouldn't really return, but I wouldn't actively avoid it either. The portion size of the sides is relatively small, and the drinks come canned.

The choices are attractive, so I chose the ordinary buttermilk for my first try. The chicken was quite juicy, but some parts were a bit overcooked. Maybe I will try the beef burger next time. Pricing is considered moderate. Worth trying anyway. Enjoy!

Walked in on a Sunday evening around 8 PM. It was easy to find a seat.
The Ebi burger's patty was not pre-fried, and the prawns tasted fresh. It was a little dry overall, but I'd rate it 6/10.
The onion rings and nuggets were okay. Hard to go wrong with those.
The seating area is rather cramped.
Would I revisit? Well, maybe to try their main burger.

Ordinary Burger at City Square Mall serves up a standout Mala Chicken Burger. The crispy, flavorful skin of the chicken pairs perfectly with the juicy meat inside, while the rich, spicy mala sauce adds an extra kick. The meal includes fries and a cola, making it a well-rounded option, and the price is reasonable too. Although the handmade burgers take a bit longer to prepare, it's well worth the wait. Definitely a place I'd recommend.

Walking by and decided to eat here, still good. Happy to see them still around. Still tastes like a freshly made burger.
Ordinary burger? Probably a bit better for SG. Freshness, yes. Juicy, yes. Tasty, not bad.
The sauce doesn't "wow" you. The fries are good, slightly on the greasy side.
I originally gave 3 stars, but because of the good price, I upgraded to 4 stars.

Nice, simple burgers, just as the name suggests. It's a small kiosk but has enough seating for about 10 people.
Price point is around $10 per person. I ordered the 'Ayam Penyet Feast', which included a chicken burger, a can of Coke, fries, and chicken nuggets. The food was oily but tasty, and can be considered a nice little treat.
Access to the place is easy. It's located on the B1 level of City Square Mall, on the same floor as the cab drop-off and the MRT station, whichever you prefer.

Excellent burgers and fries. It's a surprise to find such a gem inside a mall. The service from the elderly aunty is also amazing – she makes the effort to ensure the burger and items are perfectly set up.
We ate so quickly that we forgot to take pics of the burger, but we ended up ordering more (hence the nuggets) because the burgers were so good.
We will be back for more.

Overall pretty good, slightly above average. The only thing I would pick on is the portobello burger, where the portobello mushroom itself is too small. However, it was done nicely and was juicy. The hot and spicy chicken is indeed very hot. The mala is okayish; not very hot, but the taste is there. The onion rings are good.
