Old Chang Kee has been Singapore's legendary curry puff destination since 1956, when it began as a humble stall in a coffee shop near Rex Cinema on Mackenzie Road, earning the nickname "Rex Curry Puff." Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Han Keen Juan, who acquired the business in 1986, Old Chang Kee transformed from a small corner stall into Singapore's most recognized snack chain, officially receiving halal certification from MUIS on January 7, 2005.
Every Old Chang Kee curry puff contains their signature blend of zesty curried potatoes, succulent bite-sized chicken chunks, and slices of boiled egg, mixed with a perfect combination of herbs and spices that has remained consistent for decades. Beyond their legendary curry puffs (rebranded as Curry'O in 2008), the menu includes Singapore chicken curry, nasi lemak, Singapore laksa, and various local snacks that celebrate Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.
With over 100 retail outlets worldwide including 80+ locations across Singapore and international presence in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, Old Chang Kee sells more than 40,000 curry puffs daily. The company has earned prestigious recognition including the SPBA Distinctive Brand Awards 2005, Singapore Brand Award Heritage Award 2005, and selection by U.S. Travel & Leisure Magazine as one of the world's 20 best fast food chains in 2012 - the only Singapore brand to receive this honor.

One of your crew members was very rude. I don't know if she is a lesbian because she has a very short haircut. She showed no respect for the customer. If she doesn't understand what the customer is saying, it's not right for her to get angry and say so many things. If she has personal problems, she should not bring them to her job, as it will affect the company's image.

Today I went to buy a big fishball because I saw there was a fiery sauce. However, the auntie gave me a normal chilli sauce instead. I was very disappointed. When I asked her about it, she simply ignored me.

Very poor service attitude from one staff. She was impatient for no particular reason and raised her voice. For one chicken cup at only $3.8, adding cheese costs $8.1? What kind of cheese is that, costing $2.3? Because I've bought it many times before, I know the price. When I gave her $5, she suddenly yelled at me, saying 'Give me $10, I don't want $5.' I thought she would give me back the correct change, but no! Afterwards, she ushered me out and served other customers. In the end, I couldn't get my money back.

The auntie was so rude. There was no one queuing, and I was browsing, thinking about what I wanted. Then she just told me to move away. I told her nicely that I was still looking to see what I wanted. After I moved, there was still no one there. One of the worst OCK outlets.

Very poor service attitude from the staff. The staff was impatient for no particular reason and raised her voice at us. If you're sick of your job or life, don't work... nobody is forcing you to work and make other people's lives difficult.

Curious about their curry puff, I decided to give it a try at 3.80 ringgit. As I was paying, a Singaporean woman next to me asked the staff, “Buy 5, get 1 free, right?” I hesitated but went ahead with just one. After the first bite, I regretted not getting more—it was absolutely delicious! The taste reminded me of the original curry puffs OCK used to sell in Singapore when they first started. The pastry was perfectly thin, and the filling was incredibly generous! I was completely satisfied with this curry puff, and they even offer exotic fillings. Give it a try, and you’ll see what I mean!

The golden tater tots (like mini hash browns) were good and crispy. An excellent snack with cheese as a dipping sauce. Would definitely recommend! The prawn stick was juicy and perfectly cooked too.

The Curry-O puffs are my go-to comfort food, especially on rainy days. They remain one of the most consistent in terms of taste and serving size over the years.
