I’ve been visiting Pavilion Banana Leaf at Westgate for a while. While the location is still great—right next to the MRT, with a clean and spacious ambiance—the experience has definitely declined. Service has become quite slow; it took almost 40 minutes just to get a simple dosa and a veg biryani plate. The food, unfortunately, is not what it used to be. The taste was just average, and the biryani wasn’t served with the traditional dum-style pot cover like before, which really took away from the flavor. To top it off, I noticed the staff seemed less attentive, and one of the plates was dirty. It’s a bit disappointing to see the decline.

Greeted by fantastic staff, Josephine at the West Gate branch, we ordered the Maharaja thali vegetarian set, Curry chicken Briyani, Cheese naan, and butter naan with teh tarik. The three of us had a wonderful dining experience thanks to great recommendations and service by Josephine. What a great New Year meal! We will definitely return for more this year.

If you want mouth-watering Lamb Shank Briyani, look no further, this is the place for it! Notable mentions include: Chilli Chicken Briyani, Butter Chicken, and Tandoori Prawn. I have been here several times, and the quality and consistency of the food are impressive. I personally find the ambience a special feature. Customer service is excellent; the staff are courteous and attend to our requests. I would like to specially mention Ms. Nithya, who has a pleasant disposition and readily assisted us with our enquiries. Ms. Saroja, Ms. Malini, Ms. Nisma, and Mr. Prasanth, who were on duty, all did their part in ensuring customers came, ate, and left with their hearts and stomachs full. Kudos to the team! Will continue to bring more of my friends and teammates to this great place!
