I've been a frequent visitor of Sanook Kitchen, but this time it really disappointed me. I ordered the chicken and vegetable tanghoon, but not only was the appearance unappealing, the noodles had no taste at all. The corn also had a very weird taste. Furthermore, when I called the waiter for help, she was chatting with another waiter at the entrance instead of attending to her duties.

The most disappointing dish of the night was the fish. I had high expectations for it because it looked good on the menu! However, the sauce was very bitter, not sour or spicy. Although the fish was soft, it really lacked flavour. Basically, all the soup dishes were really lacking in terms of spice. They were generous with the quantity and ingredients were plentiful, but they lacked a lot in terms of taste. Service was also not great; I tried to get the attention of the servers many times throughout the night, but they were just standing around avoiding eye contact. We ordered about 6-8 dishes, which was obviously too many to fit all on the table, but the server did not proactively clear used plates to make space. Hence, the 1-star for service.

Service was disappointing. One of our dishes was missed, and we only realized it when we were close to finishing all the other courses. When we highlighted the mistake, we were told the dish could not be cancelled, but no proper explanation was given — just that “the manager said no.” While we eventually accepted it, the handling of the situation showed a lack of training and customer service. Staff should be better equipped to manage such issues with clearer communication and flexibility. I hope improvements can be made for future customers.

Dear Sanook Team, I visited your outlet for lunch recently and would like to share my feedback regarding the service and cleanliness. We ordered Coke and found the first cup provided was dirty, with visible oily stains. When we approached one of the waitresses to request a change, she seemed unhappy and simply poured away the Coke, rinsed the cup, and returned it without offering us a new can. Only upon our request was a new can given. Unfortunately, even the second cup was also dirty. In the end, we had to approach the manager to request a third cup. Thankfully, the manager was very nice and assisted us promptly. However, the waitress with blonde hair remained very rude and unapologetic throughout. She even served us the wrong order, and when we pointed out it wasn’t ours, she ignored us and walked away. This left us very disappointed, as the standard of service has clearly dropped. Basic hygiene and courteous service are fundamental expectations when dining in. I hope this feedback can be taken seriously to improve the service quality at Sanook.

Very unhygienic. I found a large ant in my food, not the small household kind, and I'm so disgusted (it's bigger than it appears in the photo). As someone who is freakishly scared of insects, this really sucks and I feel like vomiting, especially since I had already eaten half the food. Also, when swallowing the vegetables, there was something super sharp going down my throat. Hopefully, it isn't another insect of a larger size.

Today's lunch was casual; the taste and standard of Thai cuisine here remain consistent. There's a recent promotion: a set meal for two is only $32.90. We also added a serving of tom yum soup. The three of us were very satisfied with the experience here. Today is Mother's Day, and the restaurant thoughtfully gave out carnations to mothers. It was a pleasant surprise to receive them. Wishing everyone a happy Mother's Day!

This was my second visit to this restaurant, and this time I remembered to take some photos for my review. The portions are not large, suitable for 2 or 3 people, and reasonably priced for the portion size. The four of us ordered 11 items, including two desserts, and paid $105 for a hearty dinner. Mum enjoyed the prawn cakes, while the others loved the green curry. Vegetarians can opt for the clear tom yam soup with vegetables, which is flavourful with a strong lemongrass aroma. There is also vegetarian pineapple fried rice. The kang kong Thai-style was a bit salty for us, but acceptable if eaten with white rice. The mango was sour, but the sticky rice was fine. We rated the red ruby average, but it was refreshing after a salty meal. Staff were attentive and helpful. Do note that they do not take reservations, so arrive early to secure your seats.

I don't know why I hadn't visited before. This place seems to be crowded, and now I understand why. It's a nice little restaurant that serves excellent Thai food in smaller portions, which is great for sharing and allows you to sample different dishes. The Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup is definitely above average. While it's not quite as good as those served by native Thais, it seriously packs a punch – try it! The Mango Salad is a 'Wow!' I liked the taste; although it's a bit sweeter, the mixture is well done, and I would have ordered it again. The Stir-fried Minced Beef with Thai Basil Leaf looks deceiving but is very well created. My only issue is the tendon, which might be troublesome for the elderly. The Tom Yum Fried Rice was somewhat undercooked and too oily. The Red Ruby dessert, however, is quite well prepared – the mixture isn't too sweet, and the ruby itself is crunchy, unlike the mushy ones I've had elsewhere. You should try it if you're into desserts.
