I’ve been a loyal customer at this outlet, but after today, I’m done. Clearly, the chef has changed, and the new one should NOT be allowed anywhere near a kitchen. Attached is my order (over $90 worth of food!), and every single item was an utter disappointment. • The Tom Yum Fried Rice and Basil Chicken Rice were completely bland—zero flavour, tasting as if they were cooked by someone who has never eaten Thai food in their life. • The so-called Super Tom Yum Bowl was the final straw—mussels and squid smelled borderline rotten, as if they were about to go bad. The soup was watery, with the paste floating on top like oil slicks. It was a visual and gastronomic disaster. • Oh, and the egg? The chef claimed two eggs were in the soup, but when we checked, there were NONE. When we flagged it to the waitress, she brought it back with one raw egg on top and told us, “the other egg was under the soup.” We stirred it thoroughly—no egg. I guess the soup had a black hole. • The flame under the hotpot wasn’t even working properly. The raw egg remained uncooked even after 15 minutes. • And the soup itself? Salty, disgusting, and flat. It tasted like seawater with a shot of soy sauce. Even the Coke Zero tasted better. This place has become a joke. If you want to flirt with food poisoning, go ahead and eat here. They’ll serve it to you with a side of explosive diarrhoea. To the chef: If you don’t know how to cook, DON’T COOK. Don’t lie to your customers. Don’t risk people’s health. Get another job. Management needs to seriously step in before someone gets hospitalised. I’m NEVER coming back.

Sanook has always been my go-to restaurant, but today, I am very disappointed with the outlet at Funan. I visited on September 1st, 25th, around 7 pm. When I told the cashier staff who served me, 'table for two,' she initially led me to a table for six and then separated one table for me, which was confusing. Everyone else seated in pairs had at least two tables, except for me. So, I asked if I could change to another spot with two tables, as I had requested a table for two. She didn't allow it and instead led me to a spot behind the restaurant, right in front of the kitchen where dirty plates were placed. I really don't understand this behavior; why were other pairs allowed two tables but not my partner and I? When she brought me to another table, she even said, 'If you buy more, I'll give you another table.' Right after she said that, two customers came in, and she gave them two tables. What kind of service is this? This staff member was wearing a black t-shirt with pinkish hair and lash extensions. Super bad behavior. Another encounter involved a server. I had told this server I wanted to read the menu as I might want to add more orders, and she just grabbed it from me. I hadn't finished ordering yet. I was speechless. The least she could have done was ask if I was done, not just take it like that. There were other menus available, and many tables had already finished ordering. I don't know what the rush was to take the menu from me. This staff member had her hair in a bun with a blue ribbon clip and, if I'm not mistaken, was wearing a white shirt. This outlet definitely needs better management. The staff was rude and lacked any ethics. Please train your staff better. I definitely won't be coming back after this bad experience. I hope the management will address this.

The rice was cold and hard. The green curry was so sweet that it felt like I was eating sugar soup. The fish was bland. The Pad Thai noodles were short and mushy, tasting nothing like Thai food but rather like a hawker stall's char kway teow. I spent $80 for this meal and left after only three bites. What a waste of money and time. This is by far the worst Thai food I've ever had, if it can even be called that. It's expensive to go to hospitals in Singapore – don't risk your health here.

I've been a regular customer at this outlet, visiting 2–3 times a month, but the experience during my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. The service has dropped drastically. First, the plate used to serve rice was visibly dirty—completely unacceptable and unhygienic. When I politely requested a new, clean plate of rice, the staff member appeared visibly unhappy about it. I also observed several hygiene issues among the staff. Some were touching their hair and eyelids (possibly adjusting eyeliner or lenses), and even eating behind the drinks counter with their face masks down. It’s unclear whether the food they were eating was from the restaurant or their own, but it raised serious concerns—especially for those of us who choose this place for its halal certification. To make matters worse, the food portions were much smaller than usual. What used to be three full fried chicken wings is now five tiny wing pieces. The beef kailan had barely any beef and was about half the usual portion. The tom yam soup was very diluted, had barely any ingredients, and was only about three-quarters of the usual serving size. I genuinely hope the management looks into this and takes steps to improve both the service and hygiene standards. Thank you.

Dined in for 2 people during lunch. Staff Apple was very proactive and friendly, and able to speak Thai too. The food was tasty and served quickly, despite it being peak lunch hour. Will definitely visit again.
