This was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered the Mala Chicken Burger set ($4.99). The restaurant was very small, making the seating a little uncomfortable. I had to sit near the order kiosk, and there was also some noise from outside as the entrance was wide open. The food was prepared swiftly, and I received my meal fast. The food was alright; the burger tasted nice, and the Coca-Cola was good too. It was quite affordable, but I wouldn't recommend eating in due to the very small space. It's probably worse when it's crowded.

Got 5 dollar meal with chicken mala burger and drink. The food is good, drink is nice, a little too

Got the $5 meal with the chicken mala burger and a drink. The food is good, and the drink is nice, though there's a little too much ice. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because they removed the cheese fries and made the meal $1 cheaper. I wish they'd bring back the cheese fries option for $5.99, so customers have a choice between the $5.99 meal (with cheese fries) or the $4.99 option (without cheese fries). Also, the place is a bit cramped, so it's better to eat quickly and leave.

The mala chicken burger is super yummy. It's jam-packed with flavour and the size is better than expected. A good Chinese burger. I can't say the same for the sides, though. The beef cheese fries are so pathetic. The sprinkled beef grating looks like eraser shavings and is nothing like the image portrayed. Just check out the photos in this review. Ebiko tater tots are a bit too drowning in sweet mayo. Not to my taste buds, but some may love them. I would opt for normal fries. Drink choices are very limited to only 3 options. It would be great if sugarless drinks were an option. Taste: Mala chicken Burger 5/5 Beef cheese fries 1/5 Ebiko tater tots 2/5

The ordering system is easy, and the prices are reasonable for both set and a la carte options. However, the drink selection for the set is quite limited to soda, which could be improved. The burgers themselves have nice, different buns, and the chicken is cooked nicely. The ebiko flavor is quite overpowering, but it's still enjoyable together. The tater tots with ebiko are not a better choice than regular fries.

Very cute logo and nice packaging for delivery. A fork is also provided for the fries, however the fries were cold and not crispy. I'm not sure if they would be better if eaten dine-in. I chose the grilled chicken burger, which came with a slice of pineapple and very fresh lettuce. The bun is thinner than usual but very tasty.

Nothing to complain about. The food arrived hot, portion sizes were reasonable, and the wait time wasn't long. The burger and fries had a homemade taste, lol. The chicken was tender, though.

I love the bun. I'm not sure about the baking process, but it was hollow and tasted chewy. I didn't really fancy the chilli crab sauce; it lacked the sour note from tamarind for a more balanced flavour, and the aromatics from garlic and shallots were missing. There was also no trace of egg. Nonetheless, it was a satisfying meal. A customer after me commented on the small serving of fries, and I believe there was service recovery as he left the counter, looking contented. There are only twelve available seats.

Tried the Shiok Mala Burger Set (chicken) and was surprised at how delicious it was. The bun was soft and warm, with a nice chew. I could taste real meat in the patty, and the sauce tasted authentic, being nicely balanced without being too spicy or numbing. The fries were hot and crispy too. Seating is limited, but I found a seat easily while I was there (~4pm on a Saturday) as the restaurant was catering mainly to delivery orders then. Overall, it's a very good value and delicious alternative to the tried-and-tested fast-food options nearby, especially with the current Mala Burger Set promotion. The establishment is halal-certified at the time of review. Just writing this makes me want to order it for lunch via delivery...
